There is a large diversity of wild life including Buzzards, Kestrels, Gannets and the occasional Red Deer. Hope Cove, Malborough and Bantham have excellent pubs / restaurants. Salcombe is a centre for sailing, fishing, Scuba diving and shopping. From Salcombe there are foot passenger ferries across the estuary to South Sands and to Kingsbridge.
