Staff were so friendly and helpful. Made it a pleasure. This might sound silly, but in much more salubrious places we’ve stayed, there is only one chair. The Matador had two around the table, plus one at the desk! Too easy. One of us didn’t have to perch on the bed. Could do with a bit of a freshing up with paint work here and there but the bathroom and toiletries were super. Including “Who Gives A Crap” loo roll!!

One of the best country motels. Right in town, 2 blocks from the shopping centre and supermarket, over the road from the Port of Sale and great breakfast included in the price. There is nothing not to like

Clean, comfortable country motel

Clean, quiet and comfortable motel. A little bit dated in terms of the fittings, but plenty of power outlets for charging things, and good wifi speeds. Breakfast was basic (cereals, toast, juice, tea and coffee), but plentiful and a clean and spacious room to have it in. We were happy with the experience.

Reasonably priced hotel for a layover in Sale for family of 4. Staff were very friendly, continental breakfast was included ....new nespresso machine and generous spread of food. The hotel is a bit dated, but everything was reasonably clean. I will stay here again.

Will definitely stay again!

Really impressed with the accommodation. The Matador has been part of Sale for many years and the current owners are providing a high standard. It’s clean, comfortable and very convenient to the theatre and great eating venues. Staff couldn’t have been nicer and the complimentary breakfast was excellent.
