About this property
Entire place
You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.
Room in a Provençal bastidon
First of all, you should know: if you are looking for modern comfort, high-tech equipment and a sanitized environment, you will not find any of that here. You are in an eco-place in the heart of a natural site, so here you will find real contact with nature without noise or light pollution, but which involves taking into account certain elements mentioned below.
First of all, the access path is a VERY ROUGH FOREST ROAD (around 700m). If you do not have a 4x4 vehicle, you will need to exercise great caution and drive at a very moderate speed (no more than 10km/h). You can also park your vehicle on the left at the entrance to the path (between the trees, not visible from the road) and take the path on foot (around 5 min.).
Once you arrive, you are in an eco-place with no external energy connection. The water from the taps and showers therefore comes from the recovery of runoff water stored in tanks and is therefore not drinkable. A carafe of drinking water is at your disposal for rinsing your teeth in the bathroom and bottles of spring water are available for your consumption on site. The water flow of the shower is not the one you are used to enjoying in the comfort of your daily life, but that, much less important, of a pump powered by solar electricity. The toilets are flapper and require the filling and pouring of pitchers of water (recovery) to evacuate your waste.
In the kitchen, a space is reserved for you in the refrigerator to store any foodstuffs you may need to keep cool.
Sobriety is of course not reserved here only for the energy framework: the furniture and interior decoration thus come mainly from recycling or donations. Here you will find the necessary but not the superfluous.
You are also at the heart of a natural site governed by an eco-system in which animals and especially insects have their place. You will therefore occasionally be able to come across here: butterflies, ants, flies, wasps, bees, mosquitoes, geckos, dragonflies, but also tree frogs, hares, deer, wild boars...
The characteristics of the place (eco-place and nature refuge), its condition (under restoration), as well as its location (in the hills) impose certain common-sense rules. Any fire and any device likely to produce sparks is strictly prohibited throughout the area, as in all the Haut-Var massifs during the summer season (if you are a smoker, you can do so in front of the bastidon where an ashtray will be available). your disposition). You are then asked not to climb or step over the (very fragile) retaining walls of the terraces, to remain vigilant in your movements (to avoid injuries due to holes, stones, vines and branches on the ground, etc.) and to respect the calm and cleanliness of the place.
