Nice house, but negative first impression and very poor WiFi.
House was good size and well furnished and equipped for our family. Neighborhood is nice and walkable. Pool was clean and comfortable. First impression was poor. Two trash cans and recycling can overflowing, making all unusable. Two chaise lounge chairs (pool area) and one outside wooden chair were broken. One dishwasher (of two) has a broken latch, making it unusable. Two screens on the third floor screen room were torn and flapping in the wind. The door of the corner cabinet in the kitchen was hanging off its hinge. A stool broke the first evening we were there and a towel bar fell off on the first morning. The large wooden kitchen table was a good size, but was so sticky (from humidity? Over use? Poor upkeep?) that we resorted to covering it with plastic table cloths from Dollar Tree. Fortunately, Surf or Sound responded quickly to our complaints and their top-notch maintenance worker Bill arrived on Monday to repair everything that he could. He spent four hours on repairs on Monday and then took the two broken pool chairs and left us two plastic chaise lounge chairs. He returned on Tuesday with the two chairs he had fixed. Great guy with terrific pride in his work. The next renters should know that the WiFi is poor. Also the walk to the beach, though not far, is difficult for small children and perhaps impossible for people with mobility issues as there are no nearby walkways over the dunes.
