The room was average, nothing really stood out. The hotel is very old so it's expected to a lil rough but it was nicely decorated in the Victorian lobby with the Christmas tree, the pianos n nice furniture. The pool was supposed to be heated but it was really cold. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We thought we'd see some ghosts but didn't have any luck. We walked around for 2 hours from 11-1 and didn't catch anything.

Room seemed clean. Bedbugs got my husband really bad on his arm, legs, neck and forehead. Housekeeping didn’t clean our room, didn’t change out towels nor replaced water & coffee. I had to go down the hall to look for them.

Beautiful old historical hotel. I hope the new owners respect the history and don’t change the hotel too much. The Menger is a San Antonio treasure and needs to be preserved. Not modernized. I have gone there for 45 years.

My hotels dot come showed that half of the room had been paid. Very confusing. I had two rooms on the reservation and they were on opposite sides of the hotel. One room very nice sized the other was very small even though they were the same on the reservation.
