This rustic hideaway was a perfect quiet escape while being part of a wedding at Hoffman Ranch just a few minutes away. The king size bed on main level was very comfy. It was just having such a large bathroom with two sinks. We didn't use the upstairs loft area, it looked very nice but the narrow spiral staircase needs to be considered for whomever is up there. Kitchen had coffee maker. Dishwasher was broken but we didn't need it for our stay. The wrap around porch was nice for sitting and listening to the birds or the rain. GPS directions tried to take us to a different house just past the entrance gate but the owners had given us enough information for us to know not to listen to that. We would stay here again.

Everything was spot on! Easy to find, very peaceful location, the only issue we had was the kitchen sink faucet had about 10% water pressure and the dishwasher was broken. It took extra time to do the dishes by hand (which we don’t mind, we have a camper and are used to it) but that would not stop us from going back. Our 3 year old granddaughter LOVED “the farm” and the spiral staircase, although she about gave me a heart attack a few times going up and down We did save money on eating breakfast and dinner at the house, one reason we love VRBO!

The home was beautiful and perfect. It is a hidden gem. My daughter’s wedding was at the venue in Castroville. It was a 5 minute drive. So convenient. Home and all amenities were exactly like pictured. Beds were comfortable. Home was clean, spacious and welcoming. Host was quick to respond and helpful with any questions. We would highly recommend this property if you are looking for that perfect stay!!

This was a 2nd stay and it is so nice to be close to town but with a real feeling of being in the country. The house was very clean with all the convivences of home. No problems getting a signal making it easy to check some emails. The beds and couches very comfortable. It is a great place to stay. The host responds very promptly to messages and questions. Relaxing atmosphere

The small fenced in yard was great for our small dog. We were there to attend an air force basic training graduation at Lackland AFB. The commute was easy and having a Walmart close by came in handy. We really enjoyed the quiet, relaxing setting.

The host was excellent. The house was excellent. The property was excellent. The location was excellent. We have stayed in a lot of VRBO’S this was a very nice clean place to stay. We always read reviews on places that we are going to stay and we always look for the negative reviews. The negative reviews on this location are ridiculous. The reviews saying No Wi-Fi bad service etc is ridiculous. It’s a getaway in the country if you want all that stuff you should stay in a VRBO in town just my opinion. We had absolutely no issues with this home or anything else to do with this home. We loved it so that our kids if we’re back in the area, we will definitely stay here again. Highly recommend to all.

Short Stay

Property was perfect for our short trip to attend a wedding nearby. Host was very timely and responsive when we had a question, which was most appreciated. Gave cleanliness a 4 only because there were a lot of spider webs all over tables and fireplace and the showerheads could use a good scrub to remove all the calcium build up... other than that, clean.
