Experience a bit of Authentic California Ranch Style with a bit of French Farmhouse & Coastal Charm!
Large kitchen & breezeway for enjoying the warm Southern California Evenings, large
Spanish Style Patio with outdoor kitchen and dining. The small fruit orchard that is located on the West Side of the property with Grapefruits, Mandarin & Naval Oranges and has a beautiful aroma that reminds of of the Historical Routes Of California.

Our family has been in California for 4 Generations and the stories of my father
delivering newspapers through the smudge pots in winter through the large Orange Groves just minutes away from Downtown LA, was the inspiration behind purchasing and restoring our California Ranch Home that was in need a major renovation.


We hope you enjoy the large bedrooms & large bathroom with fresh linens, and a refreshing environment, and a newly remodeled bathroom with rain shower with fresh towels.

The outdoor areas can be spent lounging under the 100 Year Old Walnut Tree and Olive Tree sipping wine and listening to the outdoor fountains while the scent of the small orange grove will whisk you away and relax your mind and body!

On cooler evening's enjoy the outdoor sitting area located in the breezeway.
Bundle up with a blanket and candles. In the summer the breezeway is the
coolest place on the property, with the temperature dropping as the breeze
flows through the open area.

The exercise room and bathroom are located in the 4th car garage for your use
and laundry is located in this area as well.




The future gardens, pool and addition of smaller bungalows will be coming in the
near future. We hope you come and visit again, and again and enjoy the process of this adventure of building a Relaxing, California Authentic Ranch with a
bit of charm!

No Places Cleaned and Ready for Our Belongings

Almost no space was available anywhere in the house for us to unpack and store our food, toiletries and clothing. Refrigerator in house was very full of partially used food items including several that we will past their use-by dates. Almost immediately contacted VRBO and they insisted that we work with owners directly. Owners came over to property and met with us for about 1/2 hour to discuss concerns. We believed we had reached an agreement with owners for early check-out with a refund for 12 days of the original booking for 14 days. When we contact VRBO the 2nd morning regarding refund - they informed us that the owners denied our request for refund. This property is not suitable for anyone expecting to have a place to store your own things. Refusal of owners to be honest and tell us during our on-site meeting that they did not intend to authorize any refund for the 12 days left on the original rental period was disappointing to say the least.

amazing property for any type of getaway!

We’ve stayed here twice now. And it just got better and better throughout the year! It truly feels like you’re in your own home, cozy and familiar. Kelly is incredible and responds very fast and is very flexible (allowing us late checkout early check in etc) which is very much appreciated. The outdoor area/patios are even better than described and sunbathing before going hitting the town was a highlight of our trip. The property is old school with modern renovations which makes it feel clean and chic. Plus these are some of the comfiest beds I have EVER slept on. Overall if you’re thinking about stay here, do it. You won’t regret it.

A lovely home, not just a house to stay.

I love how relaxing it is and I enjoy visits from Pete the cat. Super friendly outdoor cat. Loves to great you at the door when he’s around. Kelly is a very nice host as well. I enjoy it.

Wonderful

We had a great stay. Communication with the owner was easy and responsive. It was just what we needed for our long weekend away. Grocery and restaurants were easily accessible. The house was well decorated and cozy. Yes, there are renovations going on, but they were hardly noticeable and didn’t detract from the stay. We loved the patio area. The thing we loved most though was the fact that there were fruit trees that were right on the property. We immensely enjoyed picking a few ripe fruits every morning and eating them on the patio. That truly made it memorable and probably our favorite thing of our little getaway. I would definitely recommend this property. Thank you for a great place to stay.

Cute lil Farm ranch style home

Cute little farm home was so adorable surrounded by a bunch of trees. They had everything but a coffee machine, just French pressed coffee maker. Communication with owner was easy and they got back to us with any questions he had. The only downside is this is a shared property with the owner. If your fine with that then good. They did give us our space just wish it was in the listing under shared.

French country in Calimesa

Spacious two-bedroom house with all the amenities. Well stocked, clean, and charmingly decorated. Spend some time on the tree-shadowed back patio - it was lovely. Only drawback was the busy street and fire station down the block. But most of that noice was less noticable at the back of the house and in the bedrooms. Spa-like bathroom. Thank you!

A Paradise in the Making

If you want to escape your day-to-day life and just enjoy whatever it is you like to do, this place has everything you need. If you like to work out, they have a workout area with weights and machines. If you like to lounge and drink outside and enjoy the outdoors, they have that too! If you like to spend your time in the kitchen (like myself), the kitchen is wonderful! They have plants and such growing if you like fresh citrus. Anyways, this was a gem and I’m so lucky to have come across from it. You can tell that they are still working on improving the house some more. I’m sad to leave but I can’t wait to see the improvements that will be made here. My friends and I really enjoyed our time here. They made relaxing very accessible. Thank you, Kelly and Larry.
