I had inquired Thursday evening about getting an earlier checkin for my stay (4pm check in is so late, and I was in town to attend a wedding, which started at 4pm) and they told me to call Saturday morning to see if rooms would be ready. I called at 10am, to which the girl at the front desk said to call around 12:30 since the earliest check in they’d do is 1. I call then, she says I need to come down in person and there is nothing they can do over the phone. I checked in at 3:45 after luckily being able to get ready at a friends place, and she still said I was “early”. Then this morning, with my 10am checkout time, I came back to my room around 9:40am and my keys weren’t working. I go to the front desk and the man working says “oh we just had people check in, hopefully there wasn’t a glitch in the system” ??? Shouldn’t there be some parameters to ensure new guests wouldn’t be given a room that wasn’t yet checked out? And how are people checking in before 10am when I was told the earliest check in time was 1pm? Just suspicious and super odd. I’ll never recommend this place for a stay.

Room was clean. The staff is exceptional. I had everything I needed. It’s in a great location. Not adjacent to the beach but it’s less than a mile away.San Clemente is a quiet town with a great beach for surfing ( trestles) as well as San Clemente beach. The pier at San Clemente is great too!

Beautiful grounds, walking distance to the beach. The rooms are really nice, fully stocked kitchen with pots, plates, utensils even paper towels and dish soap. Great getaway place especially for the price.

We stayed in a junior suite and it was spacious and clean. The bathroom had plenty of towels and washcloths, including one for removing makeup. The bed was firm but comfortable and had high quality linens and multiple pillows. The towel shaped like a swan was a nice touch! The kitchenette was fully stocked with dishes, pots and pans and silverware. We never had to turn on the AC or heater, as the room temperature was perfect! We had an issue with the TV, but maintenance fixed it in less than 5 minutes! The grounds are nicely landscaped and the pool area is lovely. The lobby is beautiful and was decorated for Autumn. They have daily activities for guests, including activities for children. The value for the price was excellent! We plan to stay at the San Clemente Inn next time we are in San Clemente. The only thing I would change is the parking fee. $25 is a bit steep.
