The best thing about Inn on Grove is its proximity to the San Francisco Opera House and the Hayes Valley neighborhood. Secondly, it’s a lot less expensive than most SF hotels. The bed is comfortable enough and the shower works (if you let the water run long enough to become warm). But - you get what you pay for!

Great location and the room was clean, big and comfortable. Easy walk to the opera, symphony etc. as well as Hayes Valley. Check in was friendly and quick. Parking on site is great!

Bathrooms had very limited number (1) towel bars to hang towels and washcloths after use. Tub faucet dripped constantly despite continuous efforts to shut it off. The reading lights above the beds were broken or didn't work. Beds were firm and comfortable however. Very limited dining at the hotel. However the surrounding area had amble dining within a block or two.

Second time staying at Inn On Grove; the room is spacious which I enjoy, the bathroom is small and I did not like the soap dispenser being placed above the toilet. We had a situation with the Tv which froze multiple times and we couldn't use it. No one came to clean the room and when we asked for some towels they didn't have enough. The staff is nice , front counter super nice as well. Not enough parking.

Manager was great, very friendly! Location was absolutely incredible, walking distance to everything and lots of public transport and restaurants right nearby. Shower took a long time to get warm and then would get boiling hot randomly, but besides that it was a really great stay.

Parking sucked, but that's San Francisco for you. Besides that, the room was nice and clean and the people were kind. Wasn't noisy and it was within walking distance of the Civic Center and Mission
