It was easy to get to several different forms of public transit. There are a couple restaurants close by. Only downfall was the motion sensor light in the bathroom had about 3 minute timers so it would go off while in the shower and hard to turn back on.

Star Motel was a great place to stay for our weekend trip to SF. It was centrally located near multiple public transit options and a variety of shops and restaurants. The motel itself was clean and comfortable, and the staff was welcoming and kind. The only drawback to the location, is that the motel is located on a busy road and we could hear louder trucks and motorcycles driving through the night, but other than that it was perfect!

Great option for an inexpensive room and free (!) parking in San Francisco. My room was basic but newly redone, very clean, and comfortable, with nice bath products. The building itself has fairly thin walls, so I could hear nearby doors open and close, but it wasn't too bad. Would definitely return.

This motel was a great find. I was very satisfied immediately when checking in. Very nice staff. Super clean. I loved the new design in the rooms. The location is perfect. Many restaurants and attractions close by. I will definitely stay here again.

Absolutely fine motel, location looks more remote on map than it is. We didn't drive but seems to have enough spaces. Room was clean and spacious with coffee machine. Had a room near the front so was quite noisy from traffic.

The staff was excellent. Even though the room was small, it was notably clean and comfortable. I appreciated that when I mistakenly left my key inside, the manager was so understanding and immediately helped me get back in.

They did a nice job with the renovation. The room was clean and tidy. The location is great, with Chestnut Street and Union Street in easy walking distance. We were in one of the rooms that is the closest to Lombard Street, so we could hear street noise until almost midnight.

Loved everything about this location! I booked because it had high reviews and it did not disappoint in anyway! The rooms are tastefully done and are very clean! The staff was nice enough to allow us to leave our car while we ran a 5K. Will definitely come back.
