Amazing Tuscany

The apartment was delightful. Marcello, Mama and Tamara were wonderful! The location was perfect. The entire family lovingly embraced us, even the grandchildren. San Gimignano is very close and was it was our favorite destination. Marcello’s wines were delicious and the pool was the perfect place to sip, dip and enjoy the panoramic view! Judy and I strongly suggest you visit this wonderful family.

Hard working agriturismo

First of all, the family are very welcoming and very hard working. Unfortunately I think the apartment is really overpriced. We paid nearly the same amount for one week at Tulipano that we paid for two weeks at a wonderful, light, airy and very spacious apartment near Pienza. So we arrived at Tulipano full of high expectations. Unfortunately Tulipano is very dark and rather cramped with only an uncomfortable sofa bed and dining chairs to sit on when inside the small communal space. And this really irritated when we had to retreat inside on a number of occasions when the weather was unseasonably cold and while the local farmer sprayed his vines with pesticide. This spraying continued for nearly the whole week, but because we were out most days we missed most of it. I guess we were just unfortunate, but that is when you want your apartment to be spacious and comfortable. The apartment really doesn't have enough cups and plates, and we were constantly washing up. The owners were working constantly on the property doing things like cutting grass with petrol engine strimmers, sawing wood and grinding metal with power tools. Maybe this was because they were preparing for the summer season, but nevertheless it wasn't conducive to a relaxing atmosphere. On the plus side, the pool area is very nice (when pesticide wasn't being sprayed by the farmer).

Toskana pur!

Wir sind von Marcello herzlich mit einer Flasche Wein aus eigener Herstellung begrüßt worden. Er führte uns durch das Apartment und erklärte die Handhabung aller technischer Geräte. Die Unterkunft war sehr sauber und sehr gut ausgestattet ( Klima, Espressoautomat, Geschirrspüler, mehr als ausreichend Küchenutensilien). Die gesamte Anlage ist sehr gepflegt und liegt mitten in den Weinbergen. Der Ausblick in die Umgebung ist herrlich (San Gimignano)! Die veröffentlichten Bilder im Netz geben ein sehr realen Einblick in die Ferienanlage. Wir haben einen fantastischen Urlaub verbracht und haben uns noch einigen Wein aus eigener Produktion mitgenommen. Den werden wir genießen und an die wundervolle Zeit zurück denken! Eine große Schüssel leckere Tomaten wurde uns zur Überraschung auch einmal auf die Terrasse gestellt! Vielen Dank an Marcello und Tamara!

Erholung pur

Wir hatten schöne und entspannte 2 Wochen in der Unterkunft. Die Unterkunft war sauber, es fehlte für 4 Personen an nichts. Die Vermieter sind sehr freundlich und immer erreichbar, falls es notwendig ist. Die Lage ist auch super, 7 km von San Gimignano und 4 km von Certaldo entfernt. Vom Garten aus hat man auch einen sehr schönen Blick auf San Gimignano. Auch der Garten und die Poollandschaft ist sehr gepflegt und sauber. Der Pool hat auch eine schöne Größe um auch schwimmen zu können. Die Lage ist grundsätzlich gut um Ausflüge nach Florenz, Pisa oder Siena zu machen. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und werden sehr gerne wieder kommen.
