I had booked a twin-bed room at this hotel for four nights a long time ago because it’s close to the venue where my son was competing. However, when we checked in, the front desk told us that the information they received from Hotels.com showed a king-bed room, not a twin-bed room. They said they only had a twin-bed room available for that first night, but none for the following nights. I was very confused because Hotels.com had never made such an important mistake before. The next morning, another front desk staff member told me that the reservation was indeed for a twin-bed room, but all such rooms were already booked. Since my son is 16 years old, he’s not used to sharing a bed, and getting good sleep is crucial for his competition. On top of that, the hotel’s facilities were outdated—the air conditioning was so noisy it sounded like thunder, the room faced a busy street and was very loud, the space felt cramped, and the breakfast was below the standard of other Western Plus. We quickly decided to move to another Holiday Inn Express near the airport. Thankfully, the new hotel was much better in every way, and it made us forget about the unpleasant experience we had before.
