This property looks antique with traditional design and Caribbean style paintings, overall we had a decent stay, no major complaints, dining options are limited although there is a restaurant besides the hotel and Chinese restaurant opposite to the hotel but they both do not accept Amex card so if you have master and Visa card then you are fine. Overall I do recommend the hotel.

We stayed here overnight because we wanted to be within twenty minutes or so of San Jose Airport, the place was clean the staff was helpful, and you get a yummy breakfast in the morning, it's an interesting property near the US Embassy and I would stay there again

Nice Stay!

Quaint hotel, friendly staff. Breakfast was delicious! Very easy to travel via uber. Make sure to read in hotel description that there is no elevator and all rooms require climbing or descending stairs.

Lovely inositol hotel with really helpful and friendly staff. Delightfully decorated and breakfast was tasty. Not super clean but not bad at all, and the ambiance makes up for everything.

What an amazing property. It’s more like an art museum. Such a great spot with nice areas to relax and the room was super nice and big with upscale wood and great beds. Would love to return. Staff was great too.

This hotel was not what we were expecting! We stayed only one night, after landing in San Jose. The building is truly beautiful inside, with lots of artwork and different photo ops. There are some restaurants within walking distance - making super easy. Their breakfast in the morning was delicious! The whole building was spotless, so clean the floors sometimes squeaked! We had a room that the window went into some hallway of sort, to nothing, instead of seeing outdoors. Otherwise the room was great. The heat pump kept the room comfortable. This was not a typical hotel layout that we’re used to (Canadians). The hallways went up and down and spiralled and was a little confusing to get used to, but once you figured it out it was fine. We never had a chance to use the shared kitchen by our room, but it had a propane stove, fridges, and just about anything you might need to cook yourself. The many sitting/living rooms were nice too. There were also spa services and a bar that we didn’t have time to take advantage of. We would’ve been happy to spend a few more days here!
