Noisy place to stay

We stayed in room 205 in March. The room was clean but extremely noisy. It was due to the fact that there was building construction happening directly across the street starting at 3:30 AM. As well as loud traffic noise resonating until late in the evening. Maybe got 3 hours of sleep...

Good hotel

It’s a good hotel to stay near the airport. Keep in mind that this hotel is very dated and basic but it’s spotless. Service checking in was great, very friendly. The morning crew at breakfast, front desk & staff on were extremely friendly. Greeting you and starting conversations with us. Parking is around the corner on another street but really like a 2 minute walk. It’s in a quiet area on a quiet street so if you go in the evening may seem scary but it’s not.

Perfect fit

Our list night before early morning flight, everything went smooth and precise including the early shuttle service. Room had all we needed in good shape. The only comment is towards the noise from the floor, which is quite disturbing as guests coming/leaving basically whole night (well, consideration of these guests towards others is another question...). Overall reviews and expectations fulfilled.

Our stay was brief due to a late arrival at the airport. That said, the staff is top notch! The desk clerk was more than helpful. She was nothing short of glorious. Helpful to the point of telling us which bank to NOT go to. Providing us breakfast after the food was already removed. I deeply regret not asking her name because I would vote for her to get a raise or a promotion. She was that good. Many thanks!

GOOD STOPOVER HOTEL

This is a good place, very reasonable and with free airport transfers which all worked out well for all seven of us, right near the central plaza of Alajuela, a good alternative from going into San Jose. The rooms are very basic, but the services was great and all worked well for all of us.
