I would have given 2 stars if it weren't for Anna! Anna was awesome, she took the time to explain to is that there were other properties we could access, she arranged for a taxi to pick us up and take us to the airport at 2 am. The gentlemen that worked the desk told us nothing about the extra amenities. This place is okay for a quick trip of you don't plan on spending time in the room. It was simple just a bed and a bathroom. The property could use a serious upgrade, but we had clean towels in our room everyday, the property was kept clean.The area is excellent everything is just a block away.Anna saved the day!!

Anna at the front desk was the nicest person to welcome me. She also explained everything and was helpful in every way. The same is true for the manager, Eddie, when I met him the following day.

Check in process was terrible waited approximately an hr and a half to be let in after repeated phone calls to gain access to the property. Upon entry to what could’ve been decent for the price and just a quick overnight stay to set my things and go out on the town, I was greeted by stained towels and some type of substance in the bathroom sink. There was nobody to complain to as the person who checked me in quickly disappeared after check in. Upon calling Orbitz and requesting a refund they reached out to the hotel who stated I never checked in and they tried to call me. I was able to provide photographs, call logs and proof that my cc was used at the property for incidentals. The hotel continued to state I was never there. With documentation I was issued a full refund from Orbitz.

This property was super nice and cozy to sleep in, had a ton to do in a walkable area around it. Less than a 5 minute walk to the beach and tons of restaurants around it. If you have a rental car parking can sometimes be tough, but overall an amazing stay!

Well placed for restaurants

We were only in San Juan for 2 days and decided on the Condado area. We didn't want to pay a fortune for a big resort hotel so this was perfect. It's just off the main street and the beach, so is close to everything you need. It's securely behind a gated fence. The staff were friendly and helpful. The only problem was biting insects because of all the greenery in the courtyard, and the fact that our room had very few plugs for charging devices.

Hotel Staff Moved Us to Another Hotel

Worst San Juan hotel experience ever. We advised the hotel the day before that we'd arrive around 4pm but upon arrival, they told us (with no apology) that they had given our room away and the hotel was full — "it happens often when using a booking site," receptionist said. We had to walk a block and a half to sister property, Canario Boutique hotel. The room at Canario had a broken TV and broken mini fridge (which they didn't try to fix when we advised them) and a closet door that didn’t open completely because of the bed blocking it. In addition, when we first made the reservation the Casa del Caribe contacted us to say they don't take AmEx and we had to cancel the original and make a new reservation — which made it even more frustrating when they didn't respect that reservation. Would never book again with Casa del Caribe or Canario Boutique.

I stayed at this property 7 days it was extremely noisy especially at night. Not 1 time was my room cleaned. I received 2 times in my stay. Not a pleasant experience. The property is in a good location . However the service was deplorable
