A/C worked perfectly, it was clean, quiet, bed was comfortable, shower was hot. It was a very convenient location right across from the town square. The only issues were the tv didn’t work and we had trouble finding the unit from the street address. It was a great value for your money.

From the moment you enter you begin to notice the difference in this unique property. Each floor is uniquely designed and decorated. Each room is also independently and uniquely decorated, lovingly prepared, furnished and beckons to be experienced on another occasion. The location is perfect for anyone looking to explore Old San Juan on foot and yet easily hire a vehicle and explore any other parts of the area and Island.

Owner and his daughter provide good communications, and friendly service. Casa of Essence is an enjoyable, affordable, and safe place to stay. The room was very clean. The bed was comfortable. My only suggestion for improvement would be to put a small plastic table in the corner of the large shower, or install a small shelf, to place soap and shampoo while you shower.

My stay at Casa of Essence was perfect! My flight landed a little earlier than expected, and thankfully, they were able to accommodate me with an early check-in. The room was a good size for one or two people, very clean, and the AC worked wonders against the heat and humidity.
