This place is not very fancy but typic local place to enjoy the real lifestyle in San Jose A bar front to this place is a bit noisy but fun. Bartenders or at the casa office are not very friendly or welcoming but they do just them jobs compared to the Californians people who are very friendly and smiling ☺️ Whatever, it’s a nice place for experience

Decent room for a good price, but other lodgers were partying loudly until at least 3 am. If the hostel has quiet hours they’re not enforced! Local roosters starting crowing about 5 am, so unless you’re a very sound sleeper bring noise canceling headphones. Area is active but kind of sketchy - good for partying if that’s your jam. Very friendly resident cats and convenient kitchen facilities.

I’ve been working remote for 5 years now and have traveled the world blogging and documenting my experiences. This space is great if you’re on a really tight budget and need last minute help with finding a bed to sleep in. You will get a hot shower, a cozy bed and plenty of super cool roommates to talk to. This place is right across from a cute little bar where you can play pool if you like. I’ve stayed here many times when plans fell through at the last minute and I was in a bind. The staff members treated me well and were very helpful, nice and accommodating. I really appreciated that they washed my laundry too. I’m grateful.

The people are very nice, the staff as well as the rommates but the place is a legit traphouse. Extremely dirty, extremely small, it looks nothing like the pictures. If they uploaded accurate pictures im sure people would still book because the price is really convenient but as of right now, the pictures are a lie

My stay at Casa Santurce Hostel was very disappointing. The bathroom was dirty, smelled unpleasant, and felt humid the entire time. The toilet broke while we were there. The room looked nothing like the photos online — it was smaller, the bathroom was not as shown, and the mirror was not clean. We also had drinks taken from the shared fridge, which made us feel uncomfortable about leaving our belongings there. On top of that, no one answered the phone when we tried to contact staff for help. The only positive thing was that the air conditioning worked well.
