This hotel is very beautiful with friendly staff and conveniently located near many restaurants and tourist attractions. Its located on a beautiful and quiet street with a parking lot if you rent a car available across the street for a fee. The only issue we had with the hotel is that the room we rented (economy room) didn't have a window with a view outside. The window in the room was to the lobby inside the hotel and the room itself was very small. Also the bathroom doesn’t have any ventilation system. So that was weird and of course bad after using the toilet. Housekeeping was great and always present. I highly recommend this hotel and suggest you book one of their suites with a balcony. Those rooms are beautiful.

We did not receive any special treatment that we noticed for VIP access. The area is very walkable but so busy it was difficult to find a place to eat. The rooms were nice.

The Decanter Hotel is situated near the center of Old San Juan and is convenient for walking to landmarks, public squares, shopping and dining. The environment feels very safe and orderly, with a visible police presence in busy areas. The hotel rooms that I have stayed in have modern appointments and are very clean. The outside views from the rooms vary in appeal. If this is important to you then you should consult the hotel when booking. The staff is very polite and helpful. The rooftop bar, though somewhat pricey, is lively and offers good food and drink. I would stay there again.

It was a beautiful hotel. Those at the front desk were very friendly n helpful. The rooms for the must part were clean. The tables in the rooms were a little dusty. Otherwise I would come back again.

Very convenient to the cathedral where we attended a wedding. Many walkable options for touring, shops, and food nearby. Coffee machine in lobby had many nice choices, however there was never any creamer in the room.

We had a very nice terrace room on the Calle San Jose side of the building and the Saturday and Sunday night noise from a bar up the street was very loud well beyond midnight. They were having fun. That is my only complaint

You have a great staff. They were friendly and helpful. I had never called an Uber before and they helped me set up an account and arrange from a driver. They let us leave our luggage so we could go somewhere for lunch while waiting for our room to be ready and offered to put valuables in the safe.

The Decanter Hotel is in an excellent location for sight seeing in Old San Juan. The area seems safe and fairly quiet. The room was clean and the air conditioner worked well. We could hear other guests a bit since the rooms were so close together. The staff were friendly. THere is a rooftop bar but it is only open Thurs-Sunday so we didn't use it. There was a little patio attached to our room but it was too warm to sit outside. We had a nice breakfast in the square 1 block from the hotel.

Location Location Location! Perfect for everything, the hotel itself is quiet and as you step out it’s hustle and bustle. The staff were great, I didn’t try the food but overheard other guests complimenting it. This was a brilliant hotel, good for solo travellers, couples or families.
