The hotel is beautiful, but some of the staff are quite rude and lack professionalism. For instance, the server at Banyan Tree Grill was terrible. He was unprofessional and rude, he was making rude comments of me in Spanish to his coworkers as if I wouldn’t understand what he was saying right in front of me.

The room was so dirty and old and smelled like humidity. The hallways also looked very run down not what I expected from a fairmont or an iconic hotel like this one.

This was beautiful resort! But FYI be aware of their daily charge of 100 + a day (Deposit ) which we do not know until we gotten there . Also upon check out they will charge your card $132. So please make sure you have enough funds for spending. That took us by a loop . Other than beautiful place and staff is very nice!
