Very Good location!

Hugo’s Rental is very convenient, walkable to most places in Old San Juan. Very close to the port we we had our cruise ship docked…practically walked 12 mins. Easy access even when we checked in late at night. The neg…there was a water drip from the ceiling. Bathroom had little amenities. No TV (but who needs one anyway when on vacation). I felt a little sand on our bed. Space is too small for 2 big and 2 carryon luggages. But I like the place!

Will Definitely Be Back!

The place is absolutely gorgeous inside! We loved all the plants on the 2nd floor and the rooftop access overlooking Plaza Colon is stunning. The owner, Maricruz, was very helpful and responsive. The location was the best part, within walking distance of everywhere in Old San Juan, directly in front of Plaza Colon and Fort San Cristobal. Beautiful! We can’t wait to go back! I highly recommend this hotel!

Clean, safe and quiet but in the middle of a historic square. Easy walking to all historic sights, restaurants, shops and local beach. Great communication with owner. Wide variety of rooms. Free, secure and convenient luggage storage through owner. Would definitely recommend and stay again!

The room was small but clean, quiet and comfortable. It was hard to figure out the internet since no instruction were posted and could not flush properly. Instructed not even toilet paper. Price was right and location was great! Would be nice if they had chairs in the main area to sit in down stairs and working toilets.

It's a great location for getting around Old San Juan. There are lots of restaurants and other entertainment. Also, the great landmarks downtown are close by and within walking distance. The hotel was very clean and neat. There are no onsite attendants but the owners own the market at the corner and were very helpful.

The stay here was amazing. Had some hiccups getting in, but the host was responsive and quick to help. The place is very clean and quiet even by the busy Plaza Colon. Overall couldn't recommend more to stay here!

Hugos place was surprisingly gorgeous. Ive stayed in a few places in PR and this time Old San Juan was a 1st. I loved the beautiful plants that adorned the walkway to the room. The property was clean and quiet. Located in the middle of Old San Juan, close to stores, restaurants and the cruise port. Hugo replied back quickly and addressed any of our concerns. This rental went smooth and effortlessly. Hugos rental is definitely recommended. You wont be dissapointed.

Hugo’s rental exceeded my expectations! I thought it was going to be just a room with a bathroom but it’s located in a beautiful Old San Juan building centrally located to everything! There is a common area for guests that has a microwave, glassware, silverware. Iron and other items you may need that are not in the room. The room itself has a small fridge. I was on the first floor in the back room and it was very quiet and couldn’t hear other guests once I was in my room. There are 15 total rooms in the building so I loved meeting the different people as they came and went about their day. You can also use the common area upstairs that has a small patio table. It’s in the absolute best location you can be in! Everything felt like it was only a 5-10 minute walk. Maricruz and her team were so accommodating and quick to respond to anything I needed. There is a little store next to this building if you need water etc. but just walk across the street and go to the bigger one. Tips if you are staying for a longer trip try to stop somewhere to get water and basics for the room before getting into Old San Juan. Bottles of water and drinks at the stores are expensive. Maricruz also told us about a more quiet little beach spot about a 10-15 minute walk which was very nice I’m a YouTuber and was filming a series about Old San Juan and will have videos of this stunning property and other travel tips -3Days3Noches

I love my stay at this property. I was with my wife and my daughter. It was close to everything so many shopping and dining option. The host is amazing so responsive. I stayed three nights for an amazing price.

We really enjoyed the location, it was in the middle of everything. Loved it! If I had something to pick on was a musty smell in the room but, I believe it was the humidity and age of the building but not enough to not recommend.

Great location for shopping, restaurants, historic sites. Room and building were spotless. Nice decor, nice plants. Bed and linens were deluxe. Lovely shower with thick towels. A second bar of soap, and a shelf or something in the shower would be helpful. Would be nice to have water glasses and a coffee maker. Shower drain is slow so I was worried about a backup, but it did drain. Would happily return.
