Ghosted by the house manager and had to find last-minute accommodation elsewhere

Ugggh this was such a disappointment! We'd booked this home to celebrate my son's birthday while in Puerto Rico. When I hadn't heard from the manager the day prior regarding check-in procedures, I reached out several times to no response. Finally had to call vrbo the morning of check-in; they tried contacting him. No answer. Unfortunately, vrbo gives the host until CHECK-IN TIME to respond before they'll cancel and refund your booking. Which meant we were stuck in limbo with two tired young kids, not knowing where we were headed until late that afternoon! Vrbo was very kind and helpful in sorting everything out, but it significantly interrupted our vacation, and I wanted to write a review so that this doesn't happen to other families in the future. We travel quite frequently (maybe 20ish home rentals per year?) and luckily, this is the first time this has ever happened, and the first time I've had to write a bad review. Please have a backup plan if you decide to go with this listing.

Perfect

It was for my spouses 40th birthday. We did a city stay for 2 nights at aloft and we did a secluded rainforest/ mountain stay for 2 nights. Being there wasn't a lot to do in luquillo the house satisfied all needs and the caraballi park was a plus along with the bar and grill. Very nice home very nice owner even better location for privacy and mountain getaway.
