Friendly staff. Huge problems with humidity and terrible smell in the rooms. Had to change rooms three times because of the bad smell. The front desk staff had to go up to the rooms to check for a room that didn’t smell. The third room was okay, but still smelled. We bought air freshener for the room. Very disappointed.

They charged me $350 because the smoke detector reported smoke in the room, when neither one of us smoke. The only thing I did was iron my clothes and use the hairdryer in the bathroom, that by the way does not have any ventilation. They need to review their procedures in relation to this automatic change and conduct an investigation prior to charging people’s credit card. If we didn’t bring this up to their attention, the charges would have stayed in place. They sent someone to the room to investigate after they had charged us. It was a bad experience, to have to go through. That night we have come back from a very pleasant night to find an accusatory letter wedged between our door, which included language stating that our stay at the hotel would be cancelled if the behavior continued. What behavior?? We have not done anything wrong! Needless to say that we will never stay at this hotel again.

This is me and my family's second stay here and it was even better this time around. We were checked on daily about our stay by staff and even communicated via text for more towels or coffee for the room. Breakfast wasn't anything special but it was nice to have a quick bite before starting our day. The pool was cute, quiet and clean. The bar food service was quick and convenient. There's also a kiddie pool which was a winning point for me. The beds were so comfy and the showers felt great. I'm not a fan of the half glass door shower trend but an extra towel on the floor will help with that. The beach chairs were great. Staff was kind and helpful. I will always recommend this place.

Second weekend here. Staff were very accommodating, room was very spacious and clean. Breakfast was ok, hot items tended to be warm at best, breakfast hours were strict!! Overall it is a very nice hotel and we would stay here again.

Lobby is beautiful, staff nice. Rooms smell musty. Even had to move rooms because of the smell and room moved to 2 floors away on opposite side smelled too (just less). Bathroom was without a fan (likely a cause of the smell), so everything was always soaked. Nice to have 2 separate spaces to sleep, but pull out couch is a full (not feasible for a family with teenagers as way too small). Pool was fine, no hot tub. Only get 2 beach chairs and you have to carry them to the beach. Breakfast had many options and was nice for a complimentary breakfast.

No the room was clean but not in complete working order. The door to the room didn’t close completely. You had to remember to pull it shut. Scary. Parking key didn’t work. Had to go the front desk twice. Fridge leaked. Room safe had to be replaced because it didn’t work. They don’t do automatic house keeping. You have to call if you want your room cleaned that day. The sink had no cold water. Only hot water came out.

Very nice and spacious room. Hotel has a nice bar/restaurant with friendly bar tenders. Close to airport (and you will hear the planes arriving and departing), but easy to get to and from, with Uber a valid option.

We recently stayed at the Residence Inn by Marriott San Juan Isla Verde, and I can honestly say it was one of the worst hotel experiences my family and I have ever had. The issues began even before we arrived. The hotel management contacted us out of the blue to say we were being moved to a different hotel for half of our stay. This was incredibly inconvenient. When we voiced our frustration, the staff did not care about the significant disruption they were causing. Upon arrival, there was no communication between the staff and management regarding our reservation being changed. Customer service seems to be a foreign concept to the team here. We had reserved 3 rooms for my family, and every single one smelled musty. The air conditioning did not work in any of the rooms. We called the front desk multiple times for maintenance, but no one ever showed up to fix the issue. The "complimentary" breakfast was a complete joke. It is absolutely not a reason to book a stay here; save your money and eat elsewhere. The hotel engages in dishonest billing practices. At check-out, the staff provided us with a receipt detailing the exact amount we would be charged. However, once I checked my credit card statement later, I discovered that we had been significantly overcharged. The hotel is now refusing to provide a refund for the inconvenience, the poor quality of service, they are happy to take your money without delivering a quality experience. Do yourself a favor and book somewhere else
