This place was listed as a hotel that’s not what it seemed to be. I thought it would have a front desk to check-in when I arrived. There was a code for the front gate which I did not have. Someone just so happened to be coming out and let me in, but I couldn't figure out how to get in any rooms because no one was there. Another man came by and said he had a room there as well. I let him in the gate and he was able to call the lady to help me get inside my room. I had no idea she said me an email with the instructions for the code to the gate and to get inside my room because I had no internet service. She was very helpful though after she arrived and was very polite. I didn't realize how tiny and awkward the room and bathroom would be though. Attic like stairs to get to the bedroom upstairs was aggravating. There was also I sign saying to not flush toilet paper down the toilet and take out our trash before checking out. I stayed there for the 2 nights before my 7 day cruise and had reservations to stay one more night after my cruise, but I canceled that because I did not want to stay there any longer.
Nothing. The place is old and needs complete renovation. Otherwise it is what it is. It's good for a place to sleep and clean up. Lively nightlife all over the area.
Very convenient and walking distance to everything in Old San Juan. Room was comfortable and cozy. Staff Ingrid and Mario was very helpful and always available.
Room was very small and the ladder going to the double bed was treacherous. I understand that in Old San Juan you are paying for location and you’d better like noise. But this was more money than it was worth and extremely loud. I have stayed in hostels that had more amenities. We were not planning on eating out every meal as we were there for 4 nights. But there were no cups to use, no cutlery or dishes in any way. The air stayed on the upper floor and never got to the pull out couch area below. We had 2 plastic chairs to sit on when not in bed and they were not comfortable. There was nothing to put your luggage on except the floor. And nothing to put anything else on except the tiny table the 2 chairs were at. Honestly I’d stay in a hostel before doing this again. The final night, the bar across the street had a huge art going on -three armed guards- and the music was so loud it was like it was playing in our room, along with all the screaming people until 3am.
Know that when you stay at this property, it is very quaint. The accommodations are small, but when you spend most of your time in the city, it really doesn’t matter. Just know that it is loud on weekends till 2 AM. Exciting, but loud. We enjoyed the energy!!

My wife and I stayed in the basic double room which was much smaller than it seemed in the photos. The room was just big enough for the bed and about 1.5ft on each side. The bathroom was so small that I had sit angled in order to fit. You're also instructed to not flush toilet paper and throw it out instead. The shower didn't get very hot but it did the trick. It's also very noisy due to its location but the host does provide ear plugs. The positives though are that the host is very responsive, it's in a great spot in the middle of old san juan and right off a great busy street where all the nightlife is reminiscent of New Orleans. If you're looking for minimal amenities, dont mind a really small room, and are primarily looking for a place to just crash at night before being out all day and night, this can be a top spot for the price.
Convenient location, close to the best downtown bars. A little loud but our intention was to go out and experience the nightlife in the area. We would stay there again. Very grateful the host offers luggage storage free of charge.
We needed a place to rest for one night and this was perfect! We checked in and walked to the bars around it, and had so much fun! Definitely a place to stay for few if you're looking into enjoying the festivities and surroundings of El Viejo San Juan. I loved it!
Property owner was responsive, helpful and respectful.

The location was convenient for fetting to our cruise ship. Unfortunately the weekend we stayed there was limited water in the area due to a major break in a water pipeline. Luckily the property had water storage tanks and we were able to take a shower when we arrived but not in the morning before check out as the water had run out. Eventhoug earplugs were provided, they did not provide effective soundproofing from the music coming from the bars in the area. Ingrid was a good host.
Excellent spot for a solo traveler who is out exploring! Walking distance to everything in San Juan. Not ideal if you are renting a car due to lack of parking. Room remained cool my entire stay. Self cleaned the room at checkout. Overall, it was private and perfect for someone who won't really be in the room much! Note, there are narrow stairs going up to the rooms.
