The front desk staff is almost none existent. Also there is supposed to be a restaurant inside but there was not. Asked for a 12pm checkout instead of 11am on a Sunday and they refused and said it be an additional $50.

The room was very clean and furnished well. I love the decor and aesthetics of the hotel, bed was extremely comfortable, place was quiet and right in the middle of downtown. There’s a cool outdoor brewery across the street, some small local cafes and food options. Place is currently renovating but didn’t affect us, was pretty quiet (we were there on a weekend)

This is an older hotel, but it still looks beautiful on the inside. It is currently being remodeled, so there’s construction going on. Pro is that the rooms are really large with large bathrooms. The staff were also very kind and helpful. Cons are that we didn’t have any heat in our room. The staff blamed the construction and they gave us portable heaters. Then our safe also didn’t work. Despite these few issues, I would stay there again.

Overall it was an excellent stay. The bed was super cozy and the people were very friendly. The only reason I would give it less than "excellent" across the board was some maintenance issues. I wanted to utilize the "jacuzzi bath" but when filling it, the faucet is not line up properly. While it filled I walked into the living room, then when walking back the entire floor was covered in water. The faucet is not long enough to go into the tub without pouring onto the flat top part of the tub as well. The other thing is that the window cover (automatic but not plugged in and no plug in vicinity) was not functional. I didn't realize how visible I was until I went outside later, but the result was that I inadvertently was flashing the outside world when changing/showering in the bathroom.

Number 1 The staff was suberb. We had stayed there before and really enjoyed our stay, but this time our stay was less than satisfactory. There were several minor problems and 2 major ones Minor There was no body soap in the container in the shower The hand soap did not pump and you had to open it up to use it There were children's used stickers on the rig as well as food crumbs. Major There was no heat. The maintenance men came and measured the heat and finally brought 2 little heaters so we could have some heat. Also around 4pm when I decided to make use of the wonderful tub there was only Luke warm water. So I could not take a bath which I was really looking forward to. The maintenance men said they told the desk person about our heat problem and we would receive some kind of rebate. a new person was on the desk when we checked out so the new person knew nothing about it. It was a very less than satisfactory stay. And we should not be charged full price. I have not written my hotels.com review hoping that we will receive some sort of compensation for all the problems we encountered. Again, I want to commend the staff we dealt with. Our check in was wonderful and the maintenance men were very accommodation even though they could not fix the heating problem and had to bring in space heaters Thank you for reading this. Leslie Dye

This is a lovely hotel that has been beautifully remodeled while retaining its historic charm. Large room and large bathroom, little coffee nook. Comfortable bed. Nice downtown location and dog friendly - love that. A couple of minor improvements that would make it perfect: 1. Hot water (shower was just warm and water never got hot enough); 2. More parking - both the hotel lot and the nearby public lot were full and street parking was challenging; 3. Caffeinated coffee in the room (only decaf was available). I would definitely stay here again as these were minor inconveniences.

The main thing was the construction and we were right next to it. It started at 8:00 am. They need to put guest at the far end of the construction l, not on top of it. The employees were very nice as the room was very large and comfortable. It did take us a bit to find the electrical outlets and the usb outlets.

Room was dusty and stale feeling. The ice machine is on the 2nd floor which is closed for construction and absolutely unsafe for a disabled person with mobility issues to walk though... Wow, just wow! What a lawsuit waiting to happen!!! The buliding fire alarm went off 3 timed after 10 pm while trying to sleep, what a joke! You also have to park across a busy street and there is no pet area.
