Absolutely Wonderful Stay! From start to finish, this hotel exceeded all expectations. The included breakfast was amazing—delicious, fresh, and a perfect way to start each day. We also loved the evening snacks and wine hour from 5–6pm, which added such a special touch. The staff truly made the experience unforgettable. Everyone we interacted with was incredibly kind, helpful, and welcoming. A huge thank you to Ellie, Dante, and Julianne—you made us feel right at home. Our room was outstanding. The bed and pillows were exceptionally comfortable, and the bathroom products were top-notch—honestly, the best lotion I’ve ever used. Can’t wait to return. Highly recommended!

We had an overall good stay, and the staff was friendly, but for the price point, we expected better value. The room felt a bit outdated (e.g., a leaking toilet) and lacked some basic amenities like a tea kettle or coffee machine, which are usually standard at this level. Additionally, noise from the room above—especially footsteps—was surprisingly noticeable and disrupted the quiet we were hoping for. The hotel has potential, but a few upgrades and more attention to detail would go a long way in justifying the rate compared to other options in the area.

Loved this place! Super convenient/walking distance to downtown, super easy check in and out, fairly priced, super friendly/helpful staff, and just really cute! Love the boutique vibe. Complimentary hors d'oeuvres/drink hour each evening & breakfast each morning was a bonus. They also allow pets which is awesome! Will definitely stay here again when we’re back in SLO!!

We had a great stay at Petit Soleil! The staff is really friendly and they had an amazing aperitif hour (free class of wines, beers, snacks, and charcuterie!) and a great included breakfast of various pastries and several hot options to choose from as well.
