The concierge service was excellent. They arranged tours, dinner reservations, golf cart rental, and taxi to the airport. There are four other properties along the beach, with restaurants, that we could walk to and felt safe even after dark.

We really enjoyed the property and our room. It provided us with most of the supplies we needed. Could have used a pot and a toaster. Also the beach chairs could use some pads. The staff were amazing. Would definitely book there again.

I had a great stay here the views are amazing the staff was so welcoming and when I had an issue they solved it quick and accommodated me. They decorated my room for my birthday beautifully. I would highly recommend this resort if staying in San Pedro.

This was a wonderful experience. The hotel is on a white sandy beach, the rooms were well appointed, the staff was attentive, and while they say its been 'refurbished', actually it looked and felt like a brand new hotel. It wasn't in the bustle that sourounds many of Ambergris beach hotels yet close enough to walk to great restaurants...one Gonzalo and the Princess, right next door, was uterly fantastic. Im going to do a seperate review for them because the place deserves it. We highly recommend Bananas on the Beach. Carlo and Marie January 2024.

After finding cockroaches in our room, this was the hotel manager‘s response to me. After careful consideration of the situation, upper management has decided to refund the remainder of your stay. We hope this will give you the opportunity to find accommodations that better meet your expectations. Apparently cockroaches meet their standard!!!

The grounds are pretty but customer service and cleaning staff need to be greatly improved. What was very upsetting to me was our room was never cleaned during the morning hours. I called the front desk multiple times asking when the room would be cleaned only to get a nonchalant reply ("I dont know...it will get cleaned eventually." The cleaning lady arrived at 5:45pm! And prior to that day around 4:20 PM. I was very upset with the unprofessionalism of the front desk. The customer comes first! If that were so, I would never have to write a negative report about bananas on the beach.

Very professional and helpful staff. It is located within 20 minutes golf cart driving distance from water taxi station. Will have onsite breakfast and restaurant soon.
