It’s a lovely place and the staff were exceptional. The room looked freshly renovated and they had very nice amenities. All the staff made you feel very welcome. Beautiful location. Been staying here for over 15 years, and it never disappoints. Rooms have been updated/renovated for the second time since I’ve been staying here. Each time more comfortable than the last. Well done Castle Inn!

This property has a beautiful view of the ocean and the chairs are placed right by the moonstone beach. A short walk across the street is nice. The propane fire pit was also quite warm and low maintenance. We didn’t use the pool or jacuzzi but it looked clean. Overall friendly and nice for a stay. The check in person Michael was very personable and friendly.

We had a wonderful stay after a long day of trail work in the Silver Peak Wilderness, check in was welcoming, the hot tub was great, the room was better than expected and the breakfast was very good. We will come back.

Dreamy coastal escape

Such a cozy little find right by the sea. The rooms are clean and comfy, the staff was kind, nice to have the jacuzzi and pool, and the location is simply dreamy.

This is one of many hotels clase to Hearst Castle. The property is nice with beautiful sea view. The staffs are super friendly and nice (much better than most other hotels we stayed during our trip). There is a board walk along the coast with absolutely gorgeous view along the pacific coast. The breakfast is adequate for this type of hotel. I would recommend staying here to visit Hearst Castle.

Castle inn was exactly what the wife and I needed. Greta spot right across the street from the ocean, food right down the road and perfect start for some walking trails. Very comfortable room, clean and front desk employees were very nice.

Can’t wait to return

Wonderful next to the ocean! The fabulous waves can be heard ! Nice warm pool and hot tube and great thick towels! Next to a wonderful boardwalk with spectacular views! And a great breakfast and good coffee! Oh and fire pit!

Great Staff, Clean Hotel, Nearby good restaurant

The rooms are clean, and the staff are friendly and cheerful. The breakfast area is small, but I appreciate that breakfast is served. My only complaint is that the air conditioner is too noisy, making it difficult to sleep for me. The ocean right in front is perfect for a walk. The restaurant two doors down (Moonstone Beach Bar and Grill) serves absolutely delicious food. It opens at 5:00, but customers start lining up and waiting from 4:30.
