Anniversary trip

We went here for our first year anniversary the staff were amazing, but the room smelled like urine next to the bed. The bathrooms have no fan. There was mold under the overflow drain in the tub. Champagne was good. The stocked bar and snacks were a nice touch. Hot tub was nice to hangout in and the patio was very nice to sit out on to watch the sunset and the ocean view. There were a lot of people with dogs one lady was giving her dog a bath outside the front of the rooms. I personally will never stay in this hotel again. I do recommend the restaurant for a nice hot meal and a good drink.

Great hotel in San Simeon

Cavalier is always our go to hotel on the Central California Coast. The staff is friendly, the room is clean and has the best balcony ever! A little disappointed that the hot tub bubbles and jets didn't work...

Quiet Oceanfront Property

Exceptional experience with Roxy at checkin...fun personality and very helpful. The oceanfront room with fireplace was beautiful. The property itself is a little outdated.But the rooms were big and well kept. The food at the property restaurant was surprisingly good.The only downside is the lack of a lounge or a bar. While drinks are available in the restaurant, it's not a fun or relaxing setting for a cocktail. The property is poised nicely between hearst castle and Cambria. Wonderful overall experience at a great price.

Gofer holes over entire terrain, completely dried out terrain, worst coffee, terrible housekeeping, dirty carpet, no windows to open, no air conditioning, no microwave, smoke from adjacent rooms filled my room the entire time, staff would not change my room. No A/C but spectacular views

The view is amazing. The rooms are just old and dated. The toilet had feces on the seat when we first got here. I got a drink from the vending machine and it had expired in 2022. Also, there is no air conditioning. I was provided with a fan and told to open the windows. Our room doesn’t have windows and being on the bottom floor, I didn’t feel comfortable leaving the door open while I slept. The view is incredible, but for the cost, not sure I’d be back

Don't go here!

This place was a huge disappointment. To be honest the only thing good about this place was the nice lady at check in and the location to the beach. Other then that this place is absolutely disgusting! After moving to our 3rd room because the first one smelled liked smoke and second one had ants, we still delt with dirty dirty carpet, a whole bag of chips under the bed,poorly working coffee pot and refrigerator, no ac, no towels for the pool and the leak of care that the staff had over these issues was disappointing. Then to top it all off on out main day there there was no power from 9am till after 8pm and the staffs solutions were that we could move to a different hotel and fight the 3rd party booked threw for refund and to give us 2 small tea lights and 2 glow sticks. I wouldn't recommend this place to someone I didn't like!
