The town of Sanary-sur-Mer offers you the maritime atmosphere of a French coastal town. The seafront invites you to take a stroll to see the many colorful boats and the islands in the distance. Every morning there is a fresh market with a wide selection of fruits, vegetables, cheeses, meats and fish. The Grand Market, voted the most beautiful market in France, is held on Wednesdays and offers products that reflect the culture of Provence and the Mediterranean. Take a break at one of the waterfront restaurants and sample the regional cuisine.



If you're drawn to a larger city, you can drive to Toulon in just 15 minutes. Home to France's largest seaport on the Mediterranean, this French city will fascinate you with its large National Maritime Museum, located in Toulon's harbor and displaying maritime artifacts. Rugged limestone mountains form the backdrop to the city, and a cable car will take you up Mont Faron.
