Welcome to The Newport Plums Estate, Sandpoint’s premier estate vacation rental that is a one-of-a-kind property in South Sandpoint.

Ideally located in the heart of South Sandpoint, The Newport Plums Estate is directly across from the lake and Third Street Pier, just a few short blocks from the charming shops, restaurants, breweries, and attractions of downtown Sandpoint, and only moments from the War Memorial Field park, beach, and public boat launch. Guests enjoy the rare convenience of being able to walk to many of Sandpoint’s most popular destinations while still enjoying the privacy and space of a luxury estate when on property.

The Newport Plums Estate features an extraordinary collection of extraordinary amenities that makes our property truly unmatched in Sandpoint. From resort-style recreation and entertainment spaces to luxury indoor and outdoor gathering areas, the estate offers a unique combination of features.

The property includes a junior Olympic-size swimming pool, a custom-built stainless-steel Diamond Spa with a custom-designed spa enclosure that allows for year-round enjoyment while providing protection from the elements. Additional highlights include accordion doors to the pool deck that seamlessly blend indoor and outdoor living, a fully remodeled chef’s kitchen, a state-of-the-art media room, and an expansive outdoor entertaining area featuring a new gas BBQ and griddle island.

Designed for both relaxation and entertainment, the estate is fully wired with a whole-home audio system that allows guests to enjoy music throughout the property, creating the perfect atmosphere whether you’re hosting a celebration, relaxing poolside, or gathering with family and friends.

Guests will also enjoy a dedicated game room featuring a beautiful classic pool table, providing another space for friendly competition and memorable evenings together.

At almost 8,000 square feet and a foot print that spans three city blocks this is the largest vacation rental in South Sandpoint.

Please note that any event that would result in 16 or more guests being at the property at one time must be expressly approved by the owners in advance, and extra charges are applicable for such gatherings. This requirement is strictly enforced so please inform us if you are planning a special event or gathering during your stay.

Our pool is shut down for winterization every year from mid-October through sometime in May so it is not available for guests during this period.

This listing is for the main estate house only and does NOT include the carriage house behind the property, which is rented out separately. If your group has more than 16 guests, please inquire to see if the carriage house rental is available.

Quite a spectacular house. It was purposefully designed for hosting an event or getting a group of friends or family together. The entire house is centered around a large pool, and there are multiple seating, dining and entertaining areas, all with their own vibe. The kids can hang out in the plush media room, or play pool in the game room while adults gather elsewhere (or vice vice versa!) We had lots of space for game night after skiing all day, and the whole house is well equipped, including lots of kitchen tools, plenty of serving items, two dishwashers, two sets of washer/dryers, and I think 3-4 refrigerator/drink cooler fridges!We'll definitely come back again if it's available!

Loved the property and the location - close to town and to the Beach Park. The pool and jacuzzi were great. Plenty of room for our family reunion of 5 families - 14 people ranging in age from 1 to 78. The kitchen and bbq had all the equipment and dishes we needed.

Amazing home with everything we needed, in a great Sandpoint location for whenever we did venture out! The pool, lounge chairs, tv’s, many comfy beds, AV room, and well-equipped kitchen provided for a fantastic weekend for our group of families. Marvelous Memories

We booked Newport Plums Estate for our 50th wedding anniversary weekend to be together with our kids and grandkids. The facility was top rate, the hospitality wonderful and responsive, and our time there a wonderful memory for everyone. Hosts Brian and Melissa went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed and special. We highly recommend this venue! Outstanding!!

Multi family dwelling

We were able to house our large family from all over the US comfortably in one place that had more than enough room for our reception which was attended by over 30 people. The house was near the lake and walking distance to downtown. The property manager Mellisa was the best property manager I’ve ever dealt with. She was available 24 hours a day. The house was perfect for family pictures also. I can’t wait to visit again in the summer to use the pool.

Amazing stay and huge thank you to Brian and Melissa! We had another house booked for our group of 20 people that got flooded just days before our trip. Luckily we found Brian and Melissa house - The Newport Plums Estate and they bent over backwards to accommodate us. Honestly I think it was meant to be as their house was much better. Amazing location right in Sandpoint, the place is a beautiful castle, and the hot tub is the nicest 10 person tub I have ever seen. We look forward to hopefully staying again. Book this house, you will not be disappointed!

The home was beautiful & perfectly equipped. The location was just a short walk to town.

Brian & Melissa were the perfect hosts, always available upon request. They greeted us & showed us through the house upon arrival. The weather was at a 30 year low which caused a few challenges as to proper heating in some of the rooms. An outside pipe burst two days before departure so hot water was an issue. However, we had a wonderful time occupying ourselves in the game room, watching sports & movies on the many tvs as well as family game time.

Great for Large Groups with Something for Everyone!

Our extended family of 13, ages 6 - 60(ish) stayed here in July 2019. We had a great time in Sandpoint and really enjoyed our stay at Newport Estates. The house was a perfect size for us and having the heated pool, hot tub, games room and theatre room definitely added to our stay. Everyone had something to enjoy that suited their tastes. The location was fantastic! Close to the lake and in walking distance of downtown Sandpoint where we shopped, took in the fireworks (Wow! What a show Sandpoint puts on July 4th!), parade and City Beach. The grounds out front of the estate are also beautiful. We did family photos there and the setting was gorgeous. The large kitchen area with dual dishwashers, fridges plus drink cooler and ice maker made it so easy for us to manage our large group's needs without feeling crowded or like we had to limit the amount food or drinks that we brought in. Having 2 laundry areas also came in very handy. This was our first visit to Sandpoint and absolutely loved this gem of a place. There is so much to do and our only regret was not having more time to take it all in. We golfed the Idaho Club (so serene!), took in Silverwood/Boulder Creek Adventure Park (amazing time and barely any line ups), Schwitzer Mountain (could have spent a whole day here had we known how much there was to do before we went), shopping, shopping, shopping in downtown Sandpoint, pool days when it was a little cooler and City Beach when it was hot. There was so much we didn't get to do, nature touring - hiking/biking near Sandpoint, shopping in Coure d'alene, horse adventures, and more time taking in the water sports on the lake. The weather didn't co-operate or we would have taken in the lake more. Fortunately, there is so much to do in and around Sandpoint that we never ran out of things to do, even on the cooler days. If you've never been to Sandpoint it is definitely worth the trip and we would recommend staying at Newport Estates.

Great location, plenty of space, lots of helpful supplies!

Our group of 9 along with our two local friends had enough room to gather, and enough room to do remote work. We much appreciated that we did not have to buy dish soap, dishwasher detergent, laundry soap, a sponge, etc. Loved the gas range, 2 dishwashers, 2 sinks, 2 washers and 2 dryers, 2 refrigerators, etc. One of the reasons we chose this property was the location. Even though we had multiple rental cars, we often enjoyed walking to restaurants and shops. Oh! And the hot water was always nice and hot! Never ran out even while everyone was showering, laundry was washing, etc. We would defintely stay here again! Thank you Melissa and Brian!

Amazing home, central location - perfect for large groups

Incredible property in downtown Sandpoint. Our large group of adults included a mix of adventurous skiers & non-skiers. The estate offered a perfect combination of high end amenities + central location with easy access to Schweitzer resort and bars/restaurants in town that everyone was happy with. Owners and property manager were great and very easy to coordinate with. Highly recommend this home for large groups!

Golden Anniversary celebration

We had four generations of family gathered together to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. It was a blast. The accommodations were wonderful and provided space for all of us to gather together as well as find some quiet spots to escape. The pool and hot tub were a huge success and provided a source of many hours of enjoyment. The pool room and parlor were great for some evening hours of music and billiards. Everyone had a wonderful time and we may have to consider a return visit in the future

Family Reunion

Very large house with plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. Great pool and great hot tub. Smoke was heavy but we made the best of it. We did a lot of activities around Sandpoint. Cooked several meals together. We were there 10 days. Jackie, the property manager, helped us out a few times when we needed something and very responsive . I gave her a list of some maintenance items that needed attention. The property is not new. But most everything is functioning, just a little dated.

Wedding and family gathering

We had an immediate family wedding and a party the next day for friends. The house was lovely and accommodated us perfectly. The yard was made to look great for the wedding and any problems we had were resolved immediately. Our guests brought children and they thoroughly enjoyed the pool as did we all the rest of the week. The game room was a big hit too. We closed everything down at 10pm per instructions which was nice for us too since family members spent days jet skiing, paddle boarding and kayaking. Thank you to all who helped us to enjoy our stay, our wedding a nd our family reunion.

Absolutely beautiful & magical!

Our stay at Newport Plum Estates was so amazing! We had such an awesome stay with our sweet family & than had our very magical, romantic wedding reception by the pool! Jackie the house manager totally rocked & was the coolest, most down to earth estate manager we have ever worked with & we have stayed at many vrbo's over the years! She would immediately get back to us every time we had a question or needed to talk! Brian & Melissa the owners were very awesome too! The estate is absolutely beautiful & great for an awesome stay with family & an incredible wedding venue! There is a pool so children need to be watched very carefully for safety! The beautiful memories we made here we will cherish forever & we are so blessed & thankful!

The house well accommodated our large group of kids and adults. It was very nice having downtown within easy walking distance to enjoy everything Sandpoint has to offer. The weather was great making the large pool and spacious outdoor area key for entertainment.
