Sandy Escape is the perfect place to unwind, soaking up the sunshine from its elevated treetop setting while listening to the ocean nearby. This comfortable beach retreat is ideal for couples or families and offers everything you need for a relaxed getaway.
The home features a newly renovated downstairs area, with linen provided (just remember to bring your beach towels). Wi-Fi is available.
Upstairs, the retro-style kitchen opens into a light-filled dining and lounge area, featuring a new wood heater and split-system heating and cooling for year-round comfort. Large windows frame leafy treetop and township views, while both front and rear decks invite you to sit back, relax, and soak up the coastal atmosphere. A BBQ is provided for easy outdoor entertaining.
The bathroom includes a large double shower with a separate toilet, and the laundry is equipped with a washing machine and dryer.
Downstairs offers a newly renovated retreat with two bedrooms and a bathroom, making it ideal for teens or families. This level also includes a TV for chill-out time.
Sleeping configuration:
Master bedroom (upstairs): 1 x Queen bed
Bedroom 2 (downstairs): 1 x Double bed
Bedroom 3 (downstairs): 1 x Double bed
Bedrooms 2 and 3 are separated by sliding doors.

The property does not have internal stairs. The kitchen/living area and master bedroom are accessed via external stairs, with ample lighting provided between levels.

- Guest Access
You have use of the entire house and yard. Guest access information will be provided the day of your arrival via email. This will include details on how to locate the property, where to locate the key safe, and the key safe combination to access the keys.
- Neighbourhood
Situated approximately 2.5 hours from Melbourne and approximately 40 mins to Wilsons Promontory.
The property is located close to the main beach for swimming, surfing and fishing. Waratah Bay Surf Lifesaving Club patrols the beach over summer; they also have a bar, occasional meals and events.
Launch your boat at Shallow Inlet, just a short 5 minute drive. It's famous for wind surfing, kite surfing and fishing.
The Sandy Point General store is the hub for groceries, bait, petrol, gas, bottle shop and an Australia Post outlet.
A small Mini golf course is located next to our office on Beach Parade (seasonal).
Playgrounds, Tennis courts (equipment can be hired from the General Store), Half basketball court & public BBQ areas are located next to the Sandy Point Community Centre.
The Sandy Point Community Centre hosts art festivals, markets & other events over summer.
Sandy Point is a great base for exploring the local region. With Wilsons Promontory a short drive away, you can enjoy a range of short and long hikes that include breath taking beaches, rivers and wildlife encounters.
The historic towns of Fish Creek, Walkerville, Foster, Toora and Meeniyan are an easy drive away, offering outstanding local produce, art galleries, cafes, restaurants and wineries.
Also in easy reach is the historic Cape Liptrap Lighthouse and Walkerville Lime Kilns at the famous Magic Beach, Walkerville South.
The Great Southern Rail Trail (131kms) runs from Nyora to Yarram and can be accessed at Fish Creek, it's ideal for biking or walking.
- Getting Around
Sandy Point is a lovely Village to stroll around, however getting beyond this you will need your own car.
- Other things to note
Due to the closure of the Gippsland Power Stations, during peak times (i.e. the middle of summer) we are prone to power blackouts. Mobile phone coverage can also be poor, travellers are advised to use Telstra for the best coverage in our area. This is unfortunately completely out of our control.
Each property in Sandy Point is on tank water and septic systems.
