Rural and quiet

Nice cottage, with enough room and complete equipment. On a very quiet rural spot, but not far from the village. Close to the borders of Germany and Luxembourg. Good location to visit a lot of interesting sites, and city's like Trier, Echternach, Sankt Vith and even Luxembourg City.

Bij aankomst was er helemaal niemand (eigenaar woont zelf in Brussel). Toen we belden werd er verteld dat de sleutel op de deur zat en we gewoon naar binnen konden. Bed en badlinnen zou je ter plaatse kunnen regelen, dat ging dus ook niet. Gelukkig hadden we die wel bij ons. Huisje was op zich prima, de wifi was zeer matig en de tv deed het wel, maar de schotel niet, oftewel, je kon niks zien want er was geen signaal. De douche had een lekkere krachtige straal. Borden, bestek en pannen enzo ruimschoots aanwezig. Op de slaapkamers zou het wel wat donkerder mogen zijn, zodat je niet bij de eerste zonnestraal wakker bent. Buiten is het vergane glorie: de parasol is kapot, de trampoline mist veren en de beschermrand is compleet versleten. De jacuzzi stond er ook maar troosteloos bij. De tuinstoelen waren ook niet al te best, eentje was er al kapot en de rest compleet verweerd waardoor het kunststof gaat verkruimelen. Gelukkig zijn we er niet doorheen gezakt. (Belvilla award 2023 lijkt ons niet kloppen). Verder een heerlijk rustige omgeving, er zit werkelijk niks in de buurt. In het dichtbij gelegen dorpje Schönberg zit een klein dorpswinkeltje die nagenoeg alles heeft. De twee restaurant/cafés zijn maar zelden geopend helaas. Vandaaruit wel mooie wandelingen gemaakt (boekjes verkrijgbaar bij de infoborden op het dorpsplein). Wij hadden geluk met het weer dus hebben lekker kunnen wandelen en hebben we toch zeker wel een goede vakantie gehad.
