The stay was decent, decent breakfast and area wasn’t too bad. I booked two rooms; which one had a roach in. It was 4 of us in total. They went to complain about the discovery and got a new but the worker was unfazed as if this happened all the time. That alone made the stay eerie. We should have been compensated better for that.

The room was clean(ish) (dirt in corners of bathroom tiles, leaky toilet, drapes half falling off). Our room had a view of the power plant, the photos of the hotel don’t show that it shares a fence with a power plant, just a perfect angle of the pool. The bed was awful, so hard, the pillows were TERRIBLE, only slightly bigger than my laptop, square, hard, and lumpy. It felt like they took a sheet and put it in a pillow case and called it a day. We asked for a receipt at checkout and were told since we booked on a 3rd party our receipt will come from them, fair enough but what about something that shows that we will be getting our deposit back? Nope, can’t get that either. This hotel had an 8star rating, that’s a lie.

Friendly staff were helpful as we arrived about 5 hours before check-in. They allowed us to bring our luggage into a secure area, and suggested we may also be able to check in a couple of hours early. The room was clean and bed was comfortable. Hot tub was hot, the breakfast in the morning was good with several hot and continental options. Despite bustling with an out-of-town sports team, the staff kept it clean and well-stocked. Our shuttle was on-time for taking us to John Wayne Airport, and the price was reasonable. A recommended stay!

The constraints on the use of shuttle need to be more clearly called out. I chose this hotel so I could return my car earlier and take the shuttle to the airport. The shuttle was not available at 7 pm or at 6 am. So if you have an early flight, you are out of luck. Sink was rusted

This hotel meets a travelers basic needs. It has all the necessities but there’s really no frills. Towels are typically basic. Bedding is good enough. Requests for an extra rollaway bed twice was never accommodated, even though it’s advertised as available. Pool/spa nice.No charge for parking. Recommend and would stay again. niceBedcomfy. I love that they don’t charge

Breakfast was very good. I stayed at this hotel about a year ago and it was very positive so I thought I would go there again. I think they stopped doing maintenance about then. The AC in the room was very loud and clearly not operating properly. I turned it off but the one in the next room was also very loud and kept me awake all night. They moved my to another room (no apology or anything) the next night. That AC also didn't work properly as I had to set it to 63 in order to get the room to cool down to the mid 70's. But at least it was reasonably quiet and I could sleep if I got rid of all the blankets. Staff was inconsistent at best on how the deposit and room charges were handled. I wouldn't say the staff was rude but I wouldn't use friendly or pleasant either. Management needs to train their desk staff better and get some good maintenance guys. Would not go back.

You must reserve the airport shuttle 72 hours in advance if you want to use that service and be prepared to provide an additional deposit on top of the room rate which takes 3-5 days to return unless you use cash.
