We have stayed at this motel at least 5 times in the last 10 years, however our experience on this visit was not great. Not sure what's changed since we were last here, (prior to pandemic), but here's a recap of our experience this visit: Day 1: Shortly after check-in, I went down to Front Desk to request another pillow from housekeeping because our room only had three very flat pillows for two people. No extra pillows to be found in our room. Housekeeping brought me a 4th pillow WITHOUT a pillowcase! Totally stupid! I asked her to please bring me a pillowcase as well, but she never did. I then texted the Front Desk to send one over, but they never responded. Day 2: Went to Front Desk in morning. The General Manager happened to be managing the Front Desk and I told him the sequence of events. He was very apologetic and brought me 2 pillowcases within minutes and gave us a slight discount on our bill. Greatly appreciated, however it seems as if there's poor communication between the Front Desk and Housekeeping. Went to pool later in the day, however there were only 6 chaise lounges by the pool and no chairs. Multiple people using the pool had to place their stuff on the nearby lawn or on the edge of a concrete planter wall. This motel has another pool (which for some reason is not open for use) and yet it has a number of chaise lounges around it. Why doesn't management move those over to the pool that's in use? Makes no sense. Not sure we'll be back here again. :(

I have read the reviews for this property and all good things to say. The staff is very nice and helpful. The breakfast is good and plenty. The pool looks beautiful and spa worked great. The staff do a lot of this behind the scenes like painting the exterior walls so that they look fresh. The house keeping is always available. And yes they come in and make the beds and fresh towels daily. This is almost unheard of, even from the larger hotels. My room was spots every day. So many es I do recommend staying here while visiting SB.

Have stayed here many times before and this was not a good visit. They made several changes and didn't work out for me. AC shuts off a lot. Mattress is too firm. Auto light switch in the bathroom is super bright, but shuts off while in the shower. My back and neck still hurt 2 days later. Will be staying elsewhere next visit.
