Liked the area; walkable to shopping, dining and sightseeing the town. Did not like that there was no safety handle bar to hold onto in the shower, the TV did not have good reception and very limited in channels, and, there was no continental breakfast available for breakfast.

Great Locations to Walk Solvang

The location is very good if you plan to walk around Solvang. It's down the street from the park, and many shops, restaurants & bakeries. It's got the old Denmark styling on the outside. The rooms are older but clean. Definitely average inside, but the location was great. We went for Christmas holiday.

They said breakfast was included and it was only danish, nothing else. They charged us way too much. Just under $300 for one night. I know it was a Saturday night but it certainly was not worth it.

Needs some TLC

Came during winter for the Julefest. Chose this because of the walking distance. It’s a cute motel with lots of potential, the employees were very nice. It is in desperate need of a renovation and someone who cares to update while keeping the architectural charm. Our room had the same generic portrait hung twice. A little spruce up would do wonders. We also were supposed to have two double beds but it was more like a full and twin with mismatched furniture. Quite dusty too with some spiders. If you don’t mind all that, it’s a great location.
