There was no breakfast of any kind available. Apparently, this is the case for most hotels. Being a visitor in Solvang means you eat 3 meals out every day, and it adds up quickly. The room was clean, but I had to ask for clean towels every day. Housekeeping is only available once every 3 days, and the front desk needs a phone call to make that happen. The "city view" room looked over a residential street and into the backyard that had junky cars and a couple of dogs. Still, the room was quiet, and the hotel gets lots of points for that. The hotel's location is 3 miles from highway 101, and at the start of the main drag on Mission Street. We got used to doing a lot of walking and even got to enjoy it very much. Our room was large, but you'd never be able to call it pretty. It's lighting is weird, but kudos for the room temperature being easily controlled and working well. The room served the purpose, and for all that it was, I recommend the hotel. The pool and whirlpool are outside, and it was a cool day so we didn't use it. But we saw some kids enjoying it. Shops and restaurants close early in Solvang, and they open late, too. Nearby breakfast restaurants had extremely long lines. Bakeries are available and less crowded. We loved walking up to the California mission (Santa Ines) and taking its tour for $5. Very tranquil and pretty. We like Solvang, but it needs only 2 or 3 nights at most.

Came during a busy weekend, got there right at check in time and was told that our room wouldn’t be ready for a while. When I inquired how long or what the holdup was I was told that they were busy and my room was in line to be cleaned. I paid almost $800 for 2 nights…this was not what I was trying to hear at all after a 4 hour drive.

I could hear the perople above me and walking around til 1am. The water pressure is strange. The shower is strong, but tge sink is slow. The craftmanship of the room is poor. However it is walkable and safe area. There is free coffe and continal breakfast (outside at bakery).

Beautiful views and clean room — loved the scent they had upon arrival. Cleaning staff was super friendly whenever we needed essentials. Had my service dog and can safely say she enjoyed the balcony view and quietness of the hotel and area.

Absolutely love this hotel. It is just so perfect. Great location right at the end of everything. Perfect to walk to everything if you wanted. The rooms are spacious and the balcony perfect. I prefer valley view for some beauty of nature. This is my go to hotel and the beds, the shower pressure don't even get me started. Love love love!
