The elegant kitchen with island is fully equipped and ideal for preparing all your daily meals. In addition to the essential utensils, it features an oven, microwave, coffee machine, toaster, electric kettle and other indispensable appliances to make your daily life easier.

Access to the terrace is conveniently located next to the social area, allowing you to easily gather the family outdoors for dinners under the stars, embraced by the sea breeze, and to enjoy the abundant natural light during the day.

Both bedrooms are harmoniously decorated to ensure complete rest and feature storage space for your belongings. The bright master suite is spacious, with an inviting double bed and a full bathroom. The second bedroom is equipped with a single bed and a desk, creating the perfect corner for those who need to work remotely. The accommodation also has a convenient service bathroom.

The bathroom has all amenities, including towels and toiletries for your convenience.

Located on the sunny and welcoming hillside of Caniço, this accommodation offers the perfect refuge where island tranquillity meets the vast blue of the Atlantic. The energy of this neighbourhood is relaxing, marked by the sea breeze and the sound of the waves. Just a very short distance away, you will find the picturesque Praia dos Reis Magos, a bay famous for its crystal-clear waters. Heading out for a morning walk or a laid-back stroll along the scenic seafront promenade is a must, as is savouring some grilled limpets and a fresh black scabbardfish fillet at one of the many typical seaside restaurants.

Despite enjoying all this coastal calm, the proximity to the capital, Funchal, is absolutely exceptional. Just a few minutes' drive away, you will find yourself in the heart of the vibrant city. You will have immediate access to the charming alleyways of the Old Town, the colours and aromas of the picturesque Mercado dos Lavradores, the iconic cable car, and all the rich cultural, architectural and gastronomic heritage that the Madeiran capital has to offer — and you can quickly return to your peaceful paradise at the end of the day.

Beyond this privileged connection to the capital, Caniço serves as an excellent strategic and logistical base for exploring the greatest tourist attractions of the "Pearl of the Atlantic". With easy access to the expressway (VR1), planning routes across the island becomes incredibly practical. From here, it is easy to drive east to marvel at the historic bay of Machico and the volcanic landscapes of Ponta de São Lourenço. Head inland to be awestruck by the above-the-clouds views at the imposing Pico do Arieiro, or follow the forest paths to explore the magical network of Levadas. In no time, you can also pop over to the neighbouring Garajau nature reserve to visit the famous Cristo Rei!

The property is located on Caminho Velho dos Reis Magos, in Gaula, a parish of the municipality of Santa Cruz, on the southern coast of Madeira island.

Madeira does not have a metro or train network. The main form of public transport is the bus, operated by Horários do Funchal (HF) and Rodoeste, with connections between Gaula, Caniço and Funchal. The nearest bus stop is a few minutes' walk from the property.

By car, the Via Rápida (VR1) is easily accessible, allowing you to reach the centre of Funchal in approximately 20 to 25 minutes and Madeira International Airport in around 10 to 15 minutes.

Madeira International Airport – Cristiano Ronaldo is approximately 10 to 15 minutes by car. Taxis and private transfers are available at the airport and in the area. Uber is also available on the island.

This is a self-check-in property and you will be asked to verify your identity before being able to check in to the accommodation (15:00). We ask all guests to fill in a registration form that will be sent after booking confirmation, in accordance with the legal obligations stipulated by the local authorities in Portugal.

There is a zero-tolerance policy for smoking on the property. If our team discovers any evidence that this rule has been violated (e.g., smell of tobacco, ash, cigarette butts, etc.), we reserve the right to charge a fee of at least €200 EUR.

Please note that for stays of more than 30 nights, a fair use policy for utilities will apply with a limit of €80 included.

For the first few days, we provide the following basic amenities: small containers of shower gel, shampoo and soap, toilet paper, kitchen roll, sponge, washing-up liquid and bin bags.

Extra keys: €20 (extra set when possible, lost keys or door-opening service).
Extra cleaning: price of a cleaning fee.
Extra linen: €30 (towels and sheets for 2 people, i.e., when the sofa bed is not included).

This apartment offers its guests an elevator. The front desk is open around the clock.
