Bait and switch

I booked this hotel through hotels.com the same day the reservation started at an $80 rate. When we arrived at the hotel in the afternoon the hotel had arbitrarily increased the rate to $150. When I asked for an explanation the only response they gave was that their system had increased the rate. A classic bait and switch. Avoid this hotel if you don’t want to be surprised by arbitrary increases that double the rate.
