El Sendero stands out among the options in downtown Santa Fe for being reasonably priced, while clean and modern. While the rooms are a little small, the beds are comfortable and the staff is fantastic. It's within a five minute walk of the downtown plaza and numerous restaurants, and about the small distance from Canyon Road, with the entry into the National Forest being about a 30 minute walk.

Older room but overall very clean and a lovely staff. Breakfast was great and vegetarian friendly. They have a little store with anything you might need for white sands including sleds you can borrow. It was also a very short drive to White sands or Lincoln forest with lots of food options in the area.

Room 231 and 232 are suppose to be connecting. They are not unles you are super human and can get the door in 232 open. Next time I will bring an ax or King Kong

We had a pleasant stay. The room was a good size and comfortable, with a mini refrigerator but no microwave. The overall complex was clean and in good shape. The location is excellent, close to the town plaza and the art galleries on Canyon drive. Plenty of parking but had a charge of $10/day. Overall a good value for the money if you are looking for a basic motel.

Appreciated getting a lower level room this stay, since getting bags up second floor stairs has been difficult for us in the past. The bathrooms definitely need an update to include a vanity or somewhere to put toiletries down. In all the room was adequate, clean, and close to the Santa Fe square.

it is a hotel that gives you an expectation that they care about their guests who may have allergies because they don’t allow pets and they don’t allow smoking, but they use all the strongest chemical odors that you can imagine with their cleaning so, when you normally go to a hotel that has a lot of smoking and bad odors and they use that heavy chemical cleaning solution and they use it there and the second you walk into your room it hits you big and strong and doesn’t go away!!! It makes you wonder what odors are they trying to cover up there?!? I had zero sleep, it made me feel sick. My eyes were so puffy. I could barely open them and it smelled horrendous! I kept the front door open to air it out. I had the bathroom window open the whole time and that didn’t do much of anything. I also bought an air purifier which didn’t do much! They refused to provide any refunds or assistance! When they offered me to check out of the rooms, I caught them in the act of giving in the room away without me having the option to check it out to see if it was as bad as my room! They had nothing to say they just stand there and listen and don’t budge and don’t do anything! That is terrible customer service and they didn’t care and they didn’t apologize for how disgusting the room smelled, and how bad the chemicals affected me! If you have any issues with strong chemical smells and cleaning solutions that will make you feel sick then I highly recommend you do not go there and don’t expect them

El Sendero is in a very good location, walkable to a lot of places you want to see in Santa Fe. No breakfast is offered in this hotel. We had to get breakfast in a restaurant adjacent to the hotel and it's just okay. Staff are friendly and room is comfortable and clean.

The hotel is lovely, the room is comfortable and good size. The location is outstanding. There is one odd unfortunate quirk. There is no counter space at the sink. The counter is located outside of the main bath area which is very inconvenient: Brush your teeth, go out to get your shaver, shave, go out to get your deodorant, use that go out to get your hair brush. A bit of a pain, but that aside everything else was great.
