Gorgeous interior decor with a strong Santa Fe and New Mexican theme. Each room is individually decorated. I've never been in such a nice hotel room.

Some renovations were being done but overall it was an excellent stay. Property staff were high tier, from the reception to the housekeepers. Owner should be proud of the team he has. I’m part of a Hotel Association I notice everything.

Very poor hospitality

When checking in, no one, not the front desk woman or the manager ever acknowledge us. We stood there for over 15 min looking at the manager working in his computer ignoring me 5 feet away. I finally said hello and asked for help. The same manager, male African American, didn’t say hello until the second time and acted like I was bothering him. He ignored me until a woman arrived and gave me a very cold greeting. Nobody ever smiled once the entire checkin. The 30$ a day “historical fee” was not great. No one said anything about that. Breakfast wasn’t decent. I’m just glad the guy working was finally nice. Room was nice.

Wonderful pueblo style rooms. No elevator to upper floors. Difficult to carry luggage up. The breakfast was hands down the best we encountered on entire trip!

I loved the authentic Santa Fe architecture and decor. We walked to the Rail Yard, the cathedral, and downtown square. Breakfast was good and convenient. Overall, it was a great stay.

Loads of potential

The Inn at the Vanessie was a decent stay with some solid highlights. It’s pet-friendly and in a great location, which made things super convenient. The staff was polite and check-in was smooth. The room was clean and comfortable, though the place is definitely ready for some updates. They mentioned remodeling, which is promising, but I didn’t see much evidence of it yet. Breakfast was actually a pleasant surprise—more than just the basics, with some tasty options that definitely started the day off right. Overall, not a bad stay. It has potential to be a really charming spot once the renovations are complete and with a little more attention to the guest experience.

Not great for solo female travelers

The hotel had good things & bad things. The room was charming, not your typical cookie-cutter room. It had a light ceiling with a sunlight, and a fireplace. They had a free breakfast every morning with a good selection, and the food seemed freshly made. My biggest concern, and why I won’t stay there again, was room security. The door to the room only locked via one deadbolt, no chain or other locks. And the door opened outwards, so a door jam could not be used nor could I place a chair in front of the door for extra security. As a solo female traveler, I want to have as many ways to secure my door as possible. Also, the door opened to an outdoor courtyard and the whole door had glass panes with only a thin shade to block out light. All the rooms in the courtyard have a porch light by the door, so at night, a ton of light comes through the door, even with the shade down. The photo shows what the room looked like from the bed at night, with all the room lights turned off. Also also, there was a spider in my bathtub one day; definitely not a fan of that.

This beautiful boutique hotel is amazing. Quaint, clean with upgraded interiors. Very Pueblo-Spanish authentic architecture and a close walk to the downtown square. The bed was extremely comfortable also. It is apparent they take great pride in this place.The hot breakfast was delicious!

Great location, great staff.

The room we had was on a street, but fortunately we did not here traffic. The staff was friendly and allowed us to do yoga in their larger office space. The location is great because it 8s only an 8 minute walk to the old Town.
