Located on the south side of 30A in the gated community of WaterSound West Beach between Rosemary Beach and Seaside/Watercolor, Plimsoll Retreat is a hidden gem with private beach access along the beautiful meandering boardwalks leading to the stunning white sand and emerald waters of the gulf.

Plimsoll Retreat has plenty of room for your family vacation with 2400 sq. ft. of living space and a sophisticated, coastal decor.

The first level of this beautiful home offers an open floor plan with spacious living room centered around a large flat screen TV, complete with plenty of seating for the whole family. The chef’s kitchen features commercial grade appliances, granite counters and an island perfect for preparing meals. The dining area has a round table with seating for 6 with 4 barstools available at the island for extra seating. The first of 2 king suites is located on the 1st floor and features a walk-in closet and en suite bath with double vanity and spa shower. Also located on the first level is a guest powder room and separate laundry room with full size washer & dryer. The screened porch off the living room is perfect for an afternoon nap or curling up with a book. There is a small bistro table on the porch also.

As you ascend the open staircase to the 2nd level, you will find a bonus room with flat screen television and space for games or watching a movie. The bonus room is set up as a 4th bedroom with a queen sleeper sofa if needed. The bonus room (4th bedroom) has beautiful floor-to-ceiling barn doors that close the room off for privacy if being used as a bedroom or office. This room has a closet clothes and desk if being used as an office. The second floor hallway also provides a set of fun, built-in twin bunks and a hall bath. The second, beautifully decorated king primary suite is located upstairs and features a walk-in closet, en suite bath with a double vanity and walk-in shower. Just down the hall there is yet another additional queen bedroom with a connected bath (shared with the hallway) featuring a double vanity and a shower/bath tub combo.

Plimsoll Retreat is ideally located less than 1 mile from The Hub (an entertaining, shopping and dining venue) 3 miles from Seaside, and 4 miles from Alys Beach and Rosemary Beach. This great location is just off the 30A Bike Path and the convenient to the countless dining, shopping and entertainment venues along famed 30A.

The community pool and beach boardwalk is a quick 7-minute stroll (~1/4 mile walk) away along the many boardwalks or pedestrian paths of WaterSound West Beach. The boardwalk for private beach access is located at the pool where you can walk or bike down to the beach.

30A Spring Break

Awesome stay. As great as advertised. Property was immaculately clean, well built and comfortable. Bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious. Kitchen made us want to cook more: appliances were great, dinnerware and cookware were well planned and not overcrowded. Neighborhood is lush, quiet and peaceful. Some of the best memories were just cruising the neighborhood on bikes. We loved the pool and beach. Neither were crowded at the height of spring break. We easily found chairs by the pool every day. The golf cart was fun and handy, but we also enjoyed the bikes. The garage had more pool/beach items than the listing promised. There is also a perfectly clean fridge in the garage that isn’t mentioned in the listing. The beach is a short bike ride or walk over a boardwalk from the pool, but it only takes a couple minutes. Manager called to check in without prompting on our second day. They even called over a week after our stay to ask if we lost AirPods. We really appreciated starter kits of toiletries and laundry/dish items. Security guards at the community gate could not have been more welcoming at our check-in or throughout our stay. We would definitely stay again. The experience restored our faith in rentals.

Didn't want to leave!!

Plimsoll Retreat is just that -- a RETREAT!! We enjoyed every minute of our time on 30A. This house is located in a lovely, quiet neighborhood. It has a beautiful pool and a private boardwalk to the beach. We used the bikes everyday to either ride to the beach or ride to the neighboring towns. The burly was a real bonus because we could put all of our chairs and other beach needs in there for easy transport. The house is picture perfect! We had one rainy day, but I didn't mind because it gave us the opportunity to enjoy hanging out at this beautiful home. I highly recommend this place and I hope I get to stay again SOON!! Thank you for sharing your place!

Wonderful!

This house was everything we wanted and needed. The community is beautiful and well maintained and the location is terrific. The home is well equipped, comfortable and was perfect for my family - including four year old who rejected the lovely bedroom in favor of the cozy bunkbeds. The porch and grill were used every day. Greg was a pleasure to deal with. Not a single complaint! Nothing but praise. A terrific 30A rental. We'll be back.

Recharge

Plimsoll Retreat, was just that, a retreat, a place to recharge. It was a simple-easy trip for us. The beach was not crowded at all- great sand-clear water and perfect sunsets. Thanks- we’ll be back.

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Plimsoll house. The house was clean, stocked with most essential items, and we really appreciated the touches for guests with kids. The neighborhood was nice as well. We had zero issues during our stay, and communicating with the owner was simple. We would certainly stay here again on another trip to Florida.

Amazing property in a great location. Private access to the beach was a bonus and the property was so well stocked with not only everything you could need in the kitchen, but also for the beach > bikes, burley, wagon, beach toys, chairs, umbrellas, sun shade and more! Perfection in 30a

Our favorite place we’ve stayed on 30a!!! Close enough to get to all the best of 30a but far enough away to have a little peace. Our boys loved the pool and we all loved exploring all the walkways. Private entrance to the beach was also a bonus. The hosts Were attentive and easily accessible if you needed anything. The house was gorgeous and had everything you could possibly need! Next time we are back on 30a we’ll absolutely stay here.

Splendid 30A January Vacay

We had a fantastic time at Plimsoll Retreat during our 6 day stay. We typically drive, but decided to fly down from St. Louis this time, which was incredibly convenient. We had some friends join us as well. The house literally has everything you need, down to many spices in the cabinet and pie dishes which came in handy for the homemade key lime pie I made. We loved that it did not feel like a sterile rental house. It was very clean and well taken care of, but had everything we needed. We were there in January and had some beautiful warm days to take advantage of the beach and heated pool. The bikes were so handy, we used them almost every day. We packed chairs and a cooler in the burley carrier that attaches to the bikes and rode down the boardwalk to the beach which was so convenient. The neighborhood is so quiet and pretty. we really enjoyed our evening strolls to the beach to watch the sunset. Greg and Paul were great hosts and very responsive. We will be back!

Wonderful Christmas Vacation

We stayed at Plimsoll Retreat with our adult children the week of Christmas. Everything was perfect....well stocked kitchen, comfortable living spaces and bedrooms, lovely porch space. Loved all the beach equipment....towels, chair and bikes. Located in a quiet, private neighborhood in between Rosemary and Seaside. The beach was a short bike ride on the boardwalk. Greg was great to deal with and so helpful. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Amazing - Super Clean, and suprising large home

Loved every minute in Watersound. Compared to Rosemary, Seaside, you can get a more quiet neighborhood feel. Easy bike ride to the HUB outside the gate and we love being on this end of 30A. House was perfect for the 6 of us. Most stocked kitchen we have stayed at (pans, supplies we don't even have at home) - so a massive thank you to Sean and Bryon. Sean was texting early asking how stay was going and if can help with anything. Beautiful home, beautiful community and great owners!

Perfect family beach getaway!

Plimsoll retreat was just as pictured...a beautiful home with all the amenities. We loved riding our bikes to the beach. Watersound West is just beside Deer Lake State Park, so we didn't have any of the overcrowding issues that sometimes come with 30A. We loved the quiet neighborhood, the well stocked kitchen, and the relaxing screened porch. Bonus: Sean was wonderful! He made excellent recommendations in the area that did not disappoint. He was available for questions, and he was very attentive to check in with us during our stay. Looking forward to staying again!
