2 very small rooms. The bathrooms is tiny. For 2 people is hard to get around. The place has been remodeled looks like a while ago. It’s all old and smells. There is no AC, no elevator. The place seems to be cleaned, but because it’s old it seems like dirty and musty. It is bay overpriced for what it is. After We stayed in the hotel for $50 and it was such a big difference, much bigger and nicer, cleaner, with the pleasant smell. I am honestly not sure why there is so many good reviews. We booked because of the reviews were good.

Nice area

Relatively comfortable, black out blinds and fan helped to keep the room Cool as no air con. The wifi was okay, many different routers, certain ones would work in the bedroom but not in the sitting room so had to keep switching over. The staff were kind especially the lady at breakfast. The area was good, close to huge shopping mall with restaurants and about a 45 minute walk to the city centre or 10 minute walk to the metro.

Great breakfast, excellent WiFi, awesome hotel

This is the review for our 3rd stay at Heidelberg Haus in November 2019. Our first time we were so impressed with the well appointed suites, the beautiful neighborhood of Providencia, and Luciano, the courteous and helpful hotel manager. We also remembered the great breakfast, fast and efficient laundry service for 5000 CLP per bag, and excellent WiFi! So we decided to stay here again. Luciano and the team were very helpful to us in storing some of our luggage we didn’t need on our travels through Chile. It felt like a home away from home. We went on to stay at this once again during our month in Chile. I can’t recommend Heidelberg Haus more highly.

A week in Santiago.

Hotel is located in a quiet area of Providencia and is gated for security. (This is normal in Santiago.) We stayed at a time when there was much social unrest and the staff were very helpful in advising us of where to go and where and what to avoid. Most of the the other guests were couples like us. Atmosphere is relaxed. The apartments are comfortable. We had a one bedroom apartment with lounge, although oddly, to us at any rate, the tv was in the bedroom. Staff are happy and made us feel welcome. Breakfast is very good. Lots of fruit. Would recommend this hotel.

I liked it like a boutique hotel but it is linked to University Of Heidelberg in Germany and University is linked to this hotel. This hotel is built for the students and professors coming from Germany. very quiet place situated in a very rich and quite neighborhood and very close to the highest building Costanera Center and it is only 7 minutes walk there. I enjoyed my walk to Costanera center. Breakfast is continental which is good. Rooms are two types very small and others are spacious. First they put me in 103 which was very very small then I asked them and they gave me 304 was a very spacious room. Very helping staff as they have no elevator helped me to bring my heavy suitcase down.

There is no elevator but the staff gladly helped with my bags up to the 4 th floor. No A/C. There is a nice crosswind. Check in very rapid and staff friendly. Good breakfast

I guess it is cheaper for long stays than a hotel

It is the first time I stayed in an apart hotel. I normally prefer hotels, and sure I will stick to this. This place is very strict with the check-in time, so even if you arrive an hour earlier, you will have to wait. It is located in a quiet neighbourhood. Walking distance to the closest metro in about 15 minutes. The place is spacious and confortable although shower is tiny and the small kitchen a major dissapointment. They should know that if you book an apart hotel is because you would like to prepare your own meals sometimes. This kitchen was unusable: the water boiler (teapot) was rusted inside and pots and pans are in bad state (all wasted). Cooking meals in such condition is a health hazard. Also, please be aware that there is a day care center beside it, so you will hear a lots of kids playing and crying during the day. I'm sad to say that I will not stay here again. Staff was nice (although I had to look around for the cleaning lady to ask her for soap bars).

Heidelberg Haus is a gem tucked away in Providencia. Everyone was kind and friendly, breakfast was delicious and the accommodation was clean, bright, perfect! It is a in a neighborhood and has a welcoming, local vibe. I highly recommend staying here if you visit Santiago.

The hotel is a nice space with a separate living room from the bedroom. The bathroom is very small but the kitchenette was nice. The hotel and rooms are in good condition and they offer a nice simple breakfast. It is on a quite street and about 10 minute walk to the Metro and restaurants.

Nice litle apart hotel close to public transport

Check in most hotels in Santiago is in the afternoon which can be a problem when you arrive like me at 9 AM at the hotel. Staff was very friendly and even offered me breakfast while promising to have the room ready by early afternoon

The Heidelberg is everything we needed and wanted. The rooms are charming if modern and minimalistic. Everything is clean and comfortable. The staff are very courteous and helpful. There's always somebody at the front desk. They serve breakfasts (breads, yogurt, fruit, coffee, etc.) every day. I'll stay here next time I'm in Santiago, no question.

Best kept secret in Santiago

I am not kidding when I state this is the best kept secret in Santiago. The hotel (aparthotel) is located in one of the beautiful residential neighborhoods of the city, safe, close to cultural and commercial areas as well as transportation. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful and go out of their way to accommodate the guests--I noticed this not only in my case but with other clients.The rooms and public areas of the hotel have been appointed with taste. This is a unique place, not being part of any hotel chain but beign related to a renown academic institution, Heilderberg University, hence its name. I am returning to Santiago soon and this will be the place I will choose to stay again!
