Hotel installations and location are great, unfortunately I can rate it with three starts given their unfriendly staff, specially the guys at the door and the ladies serving breakfast.

The property is so beautiful and unique, walking under the arches and around the fountains I felt like a medieval princess. The staff was mostly very professional, except our bellhop hung around our room and tried to sell us a tour with his friend. The restaurant was nice, but there is no included breakfast, so we ate in restaurants and coffee shops in the colonial center. It felt very safe walking around, but since it is a tourist center, the prices were pretty high. I would definitely come back here again next time I'm in Santo Domingo.

This is an incredible hotel for any price! If you enjoy history this is where it all started for the Americas! Literally The first governor's house on the first paved road. The colonial city has a heavy police presence so it's as safe as anywhere you could go. I've never seen an old building kept up so well anywhere. The staff is first class and will do anything to make your stay as great as possible (especially my guy Hermes.) Once you stay here you'll never quit recommending it! I'll definitely be back!

The hotel is very nice and close to everything in the historic part of town. The rooms are modern and very clean. The staff were courteous and helpful. The only drawback was that I acquired bites all over and could not distinguish if they were from mosquitos or bed bugs. The staff inspected the room, changed all the linens and fumigated the room.

Mi estadia fue muy buena, el servicio al cliente fue excelente, especialmente los porteros y ballet parking ellos eran muy serviciales. Pienso que deben mejorar las opciones de desayuno ya que son muy limitados, lo mismo todos los dias y para el precio $25.00 deberian tener mejores opciones.

Good hotel overall. Great location and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I wasn’t impressed with the breakfast quality. I found it overpriced for the quality and taste. There are better options outside. The bed was too firm for my preference and not comfortable, my wife was fine with it though.
