Nice little place, undergoing renovations.

Bed is comfortable, two different pillows available -one thick and one thin. Room is very small but has everything you might need, staff are friendly and some speak English. Everything looks clean, no signs of mold etc, and mostly well take care of - no peeling paint/wallpaper, no stains. One cracked plastic panel in bathroom under sink but doesn't affect anything. Hotel was undergoing renovations when I stayed. No disruptions first two days/nights but on my final morning everything smelled very strongly of paint or varnish, made me nauseous. Look forward to seeing how the renovations turn out. Out front the snow doesn't get cleared much so it can be very slippery. Main road etc are fine but the small roads to the hotel are somewhat dangerous so take care. Nearest station is the Tozai line, short walk to Odori for Toho and Namboku, suggest using these rather than walk from Sapporo in winter or with luggage.

Disappointed in Sapporo

If first impressions counted it would be 10/10 but on getting to our so called superior room it went down hill. It was clean but the bathroom was worse than a caravan bathroom, bath panel loose shower next to useless smelt like a damp dog for the 4 days we were there. We paid £731 for this so called superior room. We were there for the England rugby game so expected it would be a high price but this was extortionate for what we got. Also the so called restaurant /bar was only open for breakfast whilst we were there. First time I've ever had to give a bad review.

Okay, but not outstanding

The room was quite small. We couldn’t even open our suitcase without having to put it on the bed. However, the location was very walkable. And the in room amenities were good including free q-tip ear picks, body scrubbing towel and so on. I may not stay here again but I didn’t dislike it either.

Service was good...but...Ownership/Management at this hotel is sacrificing spending money on taking care of the repairs and cleanliness for profit. This isn’t a just a lousy cleaning job, this was bigger than that.

This property is very plain. Nothing fancy. If you want a room with a great location, it has that. The room was clean, but VERY small. Could hear the people in the room next to us (just talking, but walls are thin). One small tiny pillow for the uncomfortable mattress. The price was perfect, but I don’t think I would stay here again because of the comfort.
