Villa Vida Moderna is a modern oceanview retreat offering over 6,700 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space in the hills above Playas del Coco. Designed for effortless entertaining, the home features four king bedroom suites, expansive terraces, a heated infinity-edge saltwater pool, and sweeping views of the Pacific and surrounding mountains — creating the perfect setting for unforgettable group getaways.

We manage over 100 vacation rentals in the area, so our hosting style is a little different than that of an individual host. During your stay, you’ll be supported by a dedicated team to ensure everything runs smoothly.

The Location
Coco Bay Estates is a large gated development located between Playas del Coco and Playa Ocotal. Tucked off the main road, you are just a 5-minute drive to the shops and restaurants of Playas del Coco. Guests can access the development’s Clubhouse which is home to a large pool, gym, tennis courts, and pickleball courts as well as a delicious restaurant, Sugoi.

Playas del Coco is just a 25-minute drive from Guanacaste Airport (LIR), near Liberia. Several supermarkets, fruit vendors, and more restaurants, bars, and shops to count. Enjoy a walk along the beach boardwalk or stroll the beach from point to point for a 3km walk. Many scuba diving, sport fishing, and sightseeing tours depart from Coco. You’re also close to several area day trip spots – waterfalls, hiking, hot springs, and mud baths, cultural experiences, and river tours. Playas del Coco is the perfect home base for an amazing Costa Rican vacation!

Guests have private access to the villa during their stay. Your visit also includes complimentary memberships at The Club at Coco Bay, which gives access to the fitness center, community pool and restaurant, plus pickleball and tennis courts.

The main level opens to dramatic ocean views through walls of glass that connect the living space to the expansive terrace. Inside you'll find a comfortable living room with a 65" Smart TV, an elegant dining table for eight, and a large chef's kitchen with premium appliances, dual ovens, a coffee bar, and breakfast bar seating for six. This level also includes a laundry room, powder room, and the primary king suite with terrace access and an oceanview ensuite bathroom.

Outside, the terrace spans the entire length of the home and is designed for gathering. A covered outdoor kitchen with a professional Napoleon gas BBQ, bar seating, and outdoor dining area sits beside a shaded lounge space overlooking the heated saltwater infinity pool. Pool loungers, an outdoor shower, and a grassy relaxation area complete the space.

Upstairs, a second living lounge with wet bar opens to three additional king bedroom suites. Each suite features a private sitting area on the balcony with sweeping ocean and mountain views, creating peaceful spaces to relax after a day of exploring.

Guests will be most comfortable with a rental car for their stay, which we can assist with!  The driveway to the home is short, but very steep, as the home is perched high in the hills of the development. The property is NOT accessible on foot or golf cart. We do not recommend this home without a rental car or private driver.
