First of all. I'm easy going. If if you're on the fence because of some other reviews, let this be your sign. DON'T use these people.
1. Right before we showed up we were told to keep the pets off of the "pet friendly apartment's" furniture. I was nice and brought in my own blankets for the beds (you can't tell a shih tzu what to do).
2. The front door did not lock. Was told it would be fixed on 2nd day (it wasn't). Looked back on other reviews later and saw that it had been broken for a while.
3. The door code for the apartment was the unit number ... so, no front door lock and you've never changed the door to the apartment. Nice.
4. While the place was clean, the beds were awful, cheap, squeaky things and the water pressure in the shower was a drizzle at best.
5. When we got back from the beach on the 2nd day we were greeted with a notice that the water was turned off due to a $3K water bill not being paid. Then began the "fun" part. The host's voicemail? Full. They did reply via VRBO messaging but they were very nonchalant about there being no water when we and our dogs were caked in sand. Thankfully VRBO customer service stepped in and got us a hotel room for the rest of our stay.
6. After our stay would have been completed I got a follow-up message. We lost a whole night, groceries, and had to change lots of plans due to location. I asked if a refund would be possible. I was told yes ... here we are, 2 weeks later ... nothing. STAY AWAY. <3
