Welcome to Kimono Cottage, apart of our cottage court community, The Village on the Bluff, completed in 2023. Nestled among just four charming cottages, Kimono Cottage is a true gem. Despite its cozy size, Kimono Cottage boasts an abundance of sun-drenched windows and a soaring vaulted ceiling, creating an airy and spacious atmosphere.

This delightful standalone cottage is thoughtfully equipped with all the essentials and boasts a captivating and playful interior decor that we're sure you'll adore just as much as we do! This cottage features all of the modern conveniences one could ask for - smart TV's, a full kitchen equipped with all essentials needed for home cooked meals, luxurious spa-like bathrooms, large closets and a plush bed.

Nestled amidst the serene coastal village of Thunderbolt, Georgia, Kimono Cottage is one of seven cottages in this peaceful enclave. You'll find yourself within easy walking distance of three exceptional restaurants and bars right from your cottage door. Moreover, our location offers convenient access to the scenic Intracoastal Waterway and the picturesque Wilmington River, just across the street.

Thunderbolt, at the heart of the Lowcountry, is a hidden gem. Situated along the Intracoastal Waterway on the outskirts of charming Savannah, Georgia, this town is a treasure trove of experiences. Explore the enchanting River Drive, savor the flavors of four locally-owned dining establishments, or embark on a kayaking adventure with our friendly local guides, who are also our neighbors.

The Village on the Bluff, a fresh and exciting development in Thunderbolt, spans half an acre of prime real estate. This idyllic village enclave is home to seven standalone cottages and a mixed-use building featuring two flats/condos and a ground-floor retail store.

Nice quiet spot

We stayed for a week while work was being done at our house. This is a nice quiet location. The cottage was in excellent condition and met all of our needs. There are two good restaurants within walking distance, which is nice.

The homes are clean, the staff communicates very well, and the cottage was in a perfect location! The only thing I would change is the three night minimum. The “kimono” unit is as advertised, much like a typical hotel suite but nicer. It was very quiet. We asked about any washer/dryer amenities thinking that we may need to wash our towels depending on how many were provided. We were given 4 towels total, 2 each for my wife and I, which was adequate. We were told that if we needed more to reach out and they could provide more. That seemed like a decent compromise until we had to reach out for another reason.On our last night, the hvac unit, which is wall mounted in the bedroom, began to pour out nonstop water. We actually had to use one of our towels to cover the television because the water was dripping onto it. We shut off the hvac unit which stemmed the flow a bit, but it was still dripping intermittently. The room had an information booklet that gave a number for 24 hour emergencies. We called the number and there was no answer. I left a message advising them of the situation and awaited a response. I have never received a response. There was also a different number to text about issues, which I did, and have never received a response. I also sent a message through the Vrbo app, but only received a response from the management company 15 hours after sending the initial message about the issue. This was also 2 hours after our checkout time. They apologized and offered to send someone over but it was too late for that. Luckily the weather was cooler and the hvac was not needed. Communication could be better.
