This B&B was such a great stay! The staff was above and beyond excellent and so friendly. The breakfast was beautiful and authentic to the city. I would definitely book a stay again for pleasure! This trip was business, but no regrets regardless.
Thank you Alice and Doc for having us :)
We loved this place ! And the host, “Doc” is so lovable and a great source of knowledge! We will definitely stay here again! A beautiful home filled with antiques! The parking is on site, Doc cooked our breakfast every morning… it was magical.
This property is across the street from the Civic Center and easily walkable to all attractions and restaurants. Doc is an excellent Host and very knowledgeable about Savannah. His staff is equally wonderful! The breakfast each morning was delicious and all Savannah favorites. This is a great place to stay for adults (due to all the breakables in this Historic House). ;) I will definitely stay here again.
Doc is a terrific storyteller and the house is beautiful. The staff was also just incredibly helpful and good.
A great place to stay in Savannah. Can’t wait to go back.
We enjoyed a wonderful stay at Stephan Williams House. Beautiful property, great breakfast, spacious room, the whole house is full of incredible antiques and our host, Doc, was charming and knowledgeable. The B&B is in a perfect location, easy walking distance to most Savannah attractions. Bed was very comfortable with great linens. Really quiet and some nice outdoor spaces for a pre-dinner glass of wine and game of backgammon. Highly recommended.
What an amazing experience staying at the Stephen Williams House. This is a true B&B, with Doc as your host. He is a retired obstetrician and cares for his home and his guests the way I'm sure he cared for his patients and their newborns. He is the quintessential southern gentleman, oozing southern charm and hospitality with his lovely southern drawl. The breakfast is served by local college students who help Doc take care of his guests while he sits and shares local lore. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. This property was built in the 1800s so it has plenty of history, memorabilia all around, beautiful artwork and antiques, etc. The only thing I would say is the room we were staying in, while it did have a portable A/C unit, was a bit warm as the unit didn't cool the room down enough at night, but we managed. It is also located in the heart of the historic district, which makes it a great place to start and end your day. Would absolutely stay here again.
Doc was a superb host and a true Savannah gentleman. Not only did he serve us historically accurate delicious recipes each morning for breakfast, he shared with us the stories of each recipe. He greeted us each by our first names every morning. In fact, he greeted us at arrival by our first names as if we were old friends. He told us the not to be missed places we should visit and the restaurants we should try. It was just a wonderful experience all around.
It was a wonderful stay at the Stephen William House. The building and the furnishings are extraordinary. Doc, Christine, and Alice were gracious hosts. Doc regaled us with local lore and was a gracious host and conversationalist during the morning breakfast (every one of which was both delicious and had a story associated with it). My wife and I have stayed at B&B’s all over the world and this one would likely be at the top.

Host was great and very helpful. Staff were very nice and friendly.
The best BnB there is. The house is from 1834 and is beautifully decorated. The proprietor has lived in Savannah almost his whole life and has great stories. The breakfast they serve are family recipes and even the coffee pot has a story. I have been back twice this year and will definitely be going back.
We were a group of 3 celebrating a bride-to-be and everything about this place was fantastic!! From being served breakfast to easy/ safe access into BnB after hours was perfection. Albert, the host, was such an amazing add on it made our stay more magical. We were here during a race weekend but nothing hindered us from coming or going by car. Walking was also such a plus. This location had amazing areas to have easy access walking to and River Street was always between a 6-7 minute drive. 11/10 recommend would stay again! No loud traffic noises and all the guests staying with us were quiet and respectful during specific times.
It is a beautiful house filled with lovely furnishings. Dr. Al was a wonderful host. He knows much the history of Savannah. He was able to recommend restaurants, shopping, cultural events and sights to see. I would definitely stay there again.
This B&B was outstanding! The proprietor is charming and deeply knowledgeable about the history of Savannah. The antique mansion is in immaculate condition and is filled with spectacular antiques. There is a large southern style veranda and a beautiful garden with a fountain. Our room was very comfortable. Breakfast was delicious and the staff was friendly and helpful. The location is central to all of the historic sights- we walked everywhere. A true winner!
This lovely old house is a gem--old, but well maintained and elegantly decorated. The gracious host knows whatever you will need to know. Savannah is quite walkable in the downtown area, and there is much to see is a short walking distance.
We stayed for 5 memorable nights in The Stephen Williams House.
Doctor Al was the perfect host and he is a great ambassador for Savannah. Breakfasts were old family recipes which Dr Al explained the background. Therefore unique and tasty. Rooms are amazing - get a suite if you can. Great location. Would not hesitate to stay here if you are visiting Amazing Savannah.

Walking into the Stephen Williams House is like receiving a big hug from your best friend. Meeting Doc and listening to his stories as he takes you on a tour of this beautiful home is a highlight of your first day there. But breakfast is also a highlight as the food is just delicious and based on old Savannah recipes. Our room was beautiful and sitting on the back porch was so relaxing. If you ever have a chance to visit Savannah please book your stay at the Stephen Williams Home. You will find yourself transported back to a time in Savannah, of friendship and elegance.
This bed & breakfast was wonderful! Breakfast was different each day and was comprised of a Georgia recipe that was at least 100 years old. The owner is full of stories and recommendations for site seeing in Savannah, and the entire experience was top notch! We enjoyed a beautiful weekend in historic Savannah close to all of the various locations and tours. It was amazing!
