The Space:
Luxury Living Savannah's Washington Square Mansion is 2 blocks from River Street and one block from Broughton Street! The neighboring historic square, named for George Washington, is on Houston Street near the site of the old Trustees Garden.
In 2004, after sitting vacant since 1992, Luxury Living Savannah purchased delapidated building and began it's indepth restoration that took a few years and painstaking work. The Washington Square property was given a Preservation Award from the Historic Savannah Foundation in 2006 for the outstanding accomplishement in preserving this historic landmark home.
Even after being abandoned for over a decade, the home miraculously retained the vast majority of its original details! The original stair case was intact. It retained the heart pine wood planks throughout. All the doors and windows had the original hardware. Parts of the home feature bead board wainscoting, fireplaces and mantles all saved and restored.
The painstaking restoration was conducted by stringent guidelines laid out by the Department of Natural Resource in Washington D.C. These guidelines were followed in order to save the historic integrity of the home and its significant contribution to Savannah’s Landmark Historic District. All of this and and 2 blocks to River Street!
No expense was spared on the period correct modernization of this historic property. Fully outfitted gourmet kitchen with island seating for 3 people is next to the Formal Dining Room that can seat up to 8 people. Connecting to the dining room is loungey sun rom overlooking he tranquil courtyard.
The courtyard has plenty of seating for a morning coffee or evening cocktails and stargazing.
The formal Living Room has a large smart TV for group entertainment with historical influenced furnishings.
There is one bedroom with a queen size bed on the 1st floor and it's en-suite bathroom. This bathroom has a large, no-step, walk-in shower.
Up to the 2nd floor are the 3 other bedrooms. The primary bedroom looks over Congress Street with a queen bed, chaise lounge and an ultra lux en-suite bathroom. This primary bath has a separte shower, large soaking tub and 2 his/her vanities with a large walk-in closet.
Also facing Congress Street is the 2nd bedroom with 2 vintage maple twin beds, chair and en-suite bathroom with walk-in shower.
The final bedroom faces the courtyard and features a king size bed, closet and the 4th bathroom. This bright bathroom has a full size soaking tub and a separate walk-in shower.

This reservation includes ONE private, garage parking space located behind the home.

All of Downtown Savannah has metered, on-street parking with Pay Stations on each block. You can download the APP "Park Savannah" for easy payments from your phone

Visitor Parking Passes are available for 24hours/$15.00 and 48hours/$24.00. Passes can be purchased at the City of Savannah Parking Services Office at 100 East Bryan Street. Please call them with any questions about parking in the city.

The house is located near Washington Square, a primarily residential part of Savannah's Historic District. This quiet neighborhood offers residents and visiting guests a relaxing spot while within walking distance of the vibrant downtown attractions. It is a short 2-block walk to Historic River Street and the Savannah River.
The property has one garage parking space. Other vehicles must use metered, on-street parking.

This location is one block from River Street and Broughton Street. A very walkable location to most of the must see spots in the Historic District!
