Yellow door carriage house
The main house is in the front and the Carriage house is secluded towards the back of the property. The house has a large front yard in a quiet street, so plenty of space for parking, and the day before your arrival I will send you a message with further information on how to get to the house and into the Carriage house.
We are proud to say that this is an eco-friendly space with state-of-the-art WaterSense certified, low-flow water fixtures and LED lights, and Energy Star refrigerator, as well as double pane windows, an ultra-quiet, low energy, amazing air conditioning / heating system, and fully insulated structure.
Our house is a place to stay while you are out enjoying yourself, day or night, but coming here intoxicated, making loud noises, etc, is not acceptable. Please be respectful of me, my neighbors and possibly other guests or you'll be asked to leave. The carriage house is located in the back of the lot where my home is. It is halfway between charming Historic Downtown Savannah and the fun beaches of Tybee Island, about 10-12 minutes either way.
Nearby you will find grocery stores, pharmacies, bars and restaurants for your convenience - driving distance.
On our tranquil neighborhood island, you can ride your bike or go on a stroll safely and secure, away from major traffic interference. Across the street is Turner's Creek, and the sunsets in the neighborhood are fantastic!
I am pleased to say this is a gay friendly, smoke-free, two-story, turned into a one-story 15 ft ceiling space, custom built home by one of the island's developers back in the 1970’s, however, completely renovated down to studs. We live in the house in the front, so if you need assistance we're home most of the time, however, you have plenty of privacy to come in and out as you please.
In the loft feel-like Carriage house there is a Full size bed, and a sleeper sofa that sleeps one.
There is an utility kitchen with basic modern conveniences, such as a compact refrigerator to store your food and drinks, a Keurig coffee machine, so you can enjoy coffee at your convenience (we provide limited condiments), as well as a microwave - basic kitchen utensils provided as well.
The spa feel bathroom has a large tiled walk in shower, and an oversized vanity counter for all your conveniences.
Well behaved non-shedding dogs (up to 25 lb.) are welcome (for a non refundable fee), however, if any damage is noticed upon departure, we reserve the right to open a claim for damages. They must be potty trained, and long haired, shedding dogs are not allowed, and please pick up after your pets, specially in my back yard, where the dog must be on a leash at all times.
Just outside the door there's a deck with furniture on the large grassy back yard, with a partial privacy fence, so you can enjoy your quiet time.
Some of the flowers and trees on property include: banana trees, palm trees, begonias, impatiens, lantana, bridal veil, Mexican heather, marigolds, snap dragons, petunias, gloxinias, African violets, tons of ferns, confederate jasmine, morning glories, mimosa tree, azaleas, gardenias, walking iris', hibiscus, dogwood, rose plants and confederate rose trees, to name a few; all of this on 1/2 acre.
Video surveillance in use: We have video surveillance outside the property for safety recording at all times. There is a video camera outside in front of the garage door and one outside by the yellow gate, in the back yard, which are always on and always recording.
The house has a large front yard on a quiet street, so plenty of space for on street parking, and once you reserve and send the agreement back, you will receive a door code, that will let you in and out at your convenience, 24/7. Upon booking you will be required to sign and return the rental agreement/ contract prior to door code being sent.
